He confessed to killing his 66-year-old professor Nohema Graber. He further acknowledged that on November 2, 2021, he helped and abetted Jeremy Goodale in attacking Graber and killing him as a result with a baseball bat.
He said that he participated in Nohema’s murder voluntarily; no one coerced him. Miller said that the murder was planned out and that he participated in it knowingly and purposefully.
He claimed that he and Goodale had been waiting for their teacher in Chautauqua Park, next to Fairfield High School, when the courtroom was called to order.
He served as a “lookout” when Goodale attacked Nohema on that particular day. Miller aided Goodale while being aware of his motives.
Scott Brown, an assistant attorney general for Iowa, drew attention to the fact that Miller gave Goodale his complete cooperation in preparing the murder of Nohema.
Authorities fully believe he also hit the elderly woman with the baseball bat, despite his repeated denials. According to Brown, Miller is also accountable for hiding the crime and erasing the evidence.
The maximum punishment for both killers, who were minors when they committed this horrible act, would be life in jail with the possibility of parole.
Goodale was given a 25-year prison sentence since he cooperated with the authorities and provided them with all the information they need. Miller will serve 30 years in jail concurrently.
