Alina Habba is a lawyer from the United States who works out of Bedminster, New Jersey. She is very good at what she does.
She knows a lot about criminal law and is often asked to help with divorce and family law cases.
Notably, her current firm gave her a leadership role and made her the managing partner.
Alina has done a lot in her 39th year. One of her most famous accomplishments is that she was chosen to be Donald Trump’s lawyer when he was president.
Habba is a great example of hard work and dedication, which can be seen in all of her successes.
Trump indictment case – Alina Habba claims Hush-Money case “Legally Pathetic”
One of Donald Trump’s lawyers, Alina Habba, has made headlines by saying that the hush-money case between the former president and p*rn star Stormy Daniels is “the most legally pathetic” case and that Trump will be found innocent at trial.
Habba has also said that the indictment is a way to stop Trump from being elected president again.
In addition to the hush-money case, Trump is facing criminal investigations in Georgia over claims that he tried to change the results of the 2020 election and by the Justice Department over his role in the Jan. 6 uprising and how he handled classified documents.
After just over a year, Habba may no longer be one of Trump’s most trusted lawyers.
Trump has hired well-known criminal lawyer Joe Tacopina to represent him in the s*xual battery and defamation cases brought against him by former Elle columnist E. In the mid-1990s, Jean Carroll said that Trump had raped her.
Habba played down the importance of Tacopina replacing her as Trump’s lead attorney in the Carroll case by saying that she handles half a dozen cases for the president and that no one is more on his side outside of his family than she is.
But just recently, U.S. Judge Donald Middlebrooks gave Habba a sentence. District Court for the Southern District of Florida, along with Trump, for filing “frivolous” lawsuits against Hillary Clinton, former FBI director James Comey, and others.
The suits, which Middlebrooks threw out in September 2022, said that Clinton, the federal government, and other Democrats worked together to hurt Trump’s chances of winning the 2016 election by making up “a false story” about his campaign’s ties to Russia.
Middlebrooks said that the suits were “written to advance a political narrative” and “should have never been brought.” He told Trump and Habba to pay nearly $938,000 to cover the legal costs of the 31 defendants.
Trump hired Habba for the first time in September 2021. Before that, he had worked at a small law firm in New Jersey, not far from the former president’s Bedminster golf club.
She was hired to replace top lawyers like Marc Kasowitz and Charles Harder, who had worked for Trump for years.
Habba made headlines almost right away when she sued The New York Times and Trump’s niece, Mary Trump, for $100 million on Trump’s behalf. This was after the paper published Trump’s tax returns in 2018 and articles that said Trump and his father used schemes to avoid paying taxes.
Last year, people close to Trump were worried that the former president was using a “inexperienced” lawyer to stop New York Attorney General Letitia James from conducting a civil investigation into allegations.
The Trump Organization changed the prices of their assets and properties to make more or less money.
In response, Habba said, “It’s a sad day when the press finds it necessary to insult someone who has chosen not to work at a “white shoe” firm but instead to build and run her own law firm.”
Summer Zervos, a former contestant on The Apprentice, sued Trump for defamation after she said he sexually assaulted her and hurt her reputation. Habba represented Trump in the case. Trump denied the claims.
Zervos gave up on the lawsuit she filed in 2017, which was years before Trump hired Habba in November 2021.
Habba also worked with Trump on the case of protesters who sued the former president in 2015 after they said his security team attacked them at Trump Tower in New York. The case was settled in November 2022.
After being punished for the Clinton case, Habba and Trump dropped two lawsuits they had filed against James to stop him from doing something.
