A year after her disastrous defamation trial against Johnny Depp, Amber Heard has made her first significant public appearance. On June 23, the actress attended the Italian Taormina Film Festival for the world premiere of her movie In the Fire.
Heard grinned broadly as she joyfully posed for the cameras. Conor Allyn, the director of her movie, and co-star Eduardo Noriega were present with her. The 37-year-old’s presence follows news that he had settled a lawsuit with Depp for $1 million just a few days prior.

Heard was observed having a good time at the Teatro Antico during the 69th Taormina Film Festival. As they all made their way to the festival’s official opening, she made jokes with the other members of the In the Fire cast.

Heardβs Film In The Fire is Set to Premiere at the Festival
Heard’s first movie since her highly publicised defamation trial against her ex-husband Depp is titled In the Fire. The movie was shot in March 2022, just before the defamation action trial started. On Saturday, the movie will have its world premiere at the Taormina Film Festival.
Heard plays the role of a “psychiatrist who sets out to treat a desperate child at a time when psychiatry is not yet a respected science” in the supernatural horror movie. The evil deeds get worse as the woman tries to psychoanalyse the child, and her treatment turns into a race to save the youngster from the wrath of his fellow people and perhaps even from himself.
The movie’s scheduled theatrical release has not yet been disclosed. Heard will also make an appearance in the upcoming December 20th film Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom from DC Studios.
Heard Recently Paid Depp $1 Million as Defamation Lawsuit Settlement
