“Dear Family and Friends, It is with a heavy heart that we tell you about the passing of our beautiful Andrea Martin, also known as “Annie.” Andrea will always be remembered for her love and dedication to her family and friends. Her influence will be felt and heard for a very long time.
The message went on, and the sender thanked everyone ahead of time for their sympathy, love, compassion, and understanding during that time.
In the post, they also talked about limiting calls because they were trying to make plans at the time. Once the plans are set in stone, they will post about them. At the end of the post, it said, “Forever a legend. April 14 to September 27.”
Longtime writing partner Ivan Matias also said in his Instagram story that she had died. He sent Andrea Martin, his childhood friend and songwriting partner, a picture of Martin with the words “Rest in paradise” written on it. He also said that she was very interesting.

At the start of her career, she sang background vocals on a lot of albums. She wrote hits for R&B artists like Angie Stone, Toni Braxton, En Vogue, Monica, Leona Lewis, and SWV during that time.
After her album “The Best of Me” came out in 1998, her single “Let Me Return the Favor” got to No. 82 on the Billboard Hot 100.
