The Crow Wing County Sheriff’s Department launched an investigation into the circumstances surrounding Angela’s death when officials discovered that she had been killed by a vehicle after conducting an investigation.
On July 10, 2023, Tony James McClelland, her husband, was eventually arrested and charged with vehicular homicide.
Because of her generous spirit and outgoing personality, Angela was beloved by many people in her community, making the unexpected loss of her an especially difficult one.

On July 22, 2023, Nelson-Doran Funeral Home in Brainerd, Minnesota, will host a Celebration of Angie’s Life with a gathering of family and friends from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Gilbert, Minnesota will host the burial at a later time.
Though Angela’s absence will definitely be felt keenly, those who had the honour of knowing her will treasure her memories always.
Who was Angela?
Angela, a close-knit family with two siblings, was the daughter of Patty and Jim Thompson.
She attended Little Falls High School and graduated before deciding to work as an elderly carer. She was adored by her clientele and well-known for her compassion and kindness.
After dating for more than 20 years, Fort Ripley native Angela married Tony James McClelland.
At the time of Angela’s passing, they shared four kids while living together.
Angela is remembered by friends and family as a loving mother and wife who was always there for her family. She cherished spending time with her loved ones, going fishing, and camping.
