In Yorkshire, England, early in the following year, filming for Netflix’s biographical picture “Bank of Dave: The Sequel” is expected to start. After fighting London’s affluent financial institutions in the first movie, self-made millionaire Dave Fishwick faces forth against a new and more formidable foe in this sequel: the payday lenders. The logline states that Dave “has to risk everything to take them down and protect some of the most vulnerable members of communities across Britain, including the community bank he founded two years ago, his liberty and, on occasion, even his life.”
For the follow-up, Chris Foggin, who directed the 2023 movie, is directing once more. The 2011 short film “Friend Request Pending,” featuring Judi Dench and Tom Hiddleston, won the director praise from all over the world. “Kids in Love,” “Fisherman’s Friends,” and “This is Christmas” are among his other credits. The sequel was written by the same person who authored the first movie, Piers Ashworth.
In the upcoming movie, Rory Kinnear will play Dave Fishwick again. The actor gained international recognition for his portrayal of Bill Tanner in James Bond flicks like “No Time to Die,” “Quantum of Solace,” “Skyfall,” and “Spectre.” His most recent roles include Geoffrey in “Men,” Captain Nigel Badminton/Admiral Chauncey Badminton in Max’s “Our Flag Means Death,” and Prime Minister Nicol Trowbridge in Netflix’s “The Diplomat.”
