How Did Ben Kredich Die?
Ben Kredich was allegedly on a sidewalk close to the University of Tennessee campus when he was shot and killed.
when a vehicle that had been heading east on Kingston Pike veered off the road and hit the man.
After being discovered unconscious inside his car, the driver, Shannon Walker, was later determined to be an impaired driver who had previously been treated by American Medical Response.
According to the arrest report, AMR gave Walker Narcan, a drug used to counteract opiate overdoses, and then Walker was brought to a nearby hospital.
According to court documents, he was released around 3:20 pm.
When police investigated Walker’s car, they discovered a variety of drugs on him, including what they believe to be heroin.
A search warrant was issued for a blood sample because of the circumstances, the drugs discovered, and the fatal crash, according to authorities.
