Fyre: The Greatest Party That Never Happened (2019)
The 2019 Netflix debut of “Fyre: The Greatest Party That Never Happened” chronicles the unsuccessful 2017 Fyre Festival. Imposters (2017-)
On February 7, 2017, the Bravo Cable Network aired the dark comedy television series “Imposters,” which is grim, absorbing, and hilarious. The main character of the story is the con artist Maddie, who defrauds both men and women by entangling them in romantic relationships. She not only takes their possessions, but she also breaks their hearts. Maddie has tormented and played with the emotions of a number of victims along the way. She is dangerous, charming, and crafty. But when she encounters Patrick, her potential love interest, she meets her match. Ezra, Richard, and Jules, three of her previous victims, get together and make a promise to track her down and wreak retribution. No Good Nick (2019-)
Comedy web television programme “No Good Nick” was created by David H. Steinberg and Keetgi Kogan. The programme made its Netflix debut on April 15, 2019, starring Siena Agudong, Lauren Lindsey Donzis, Kalama Epstein, Melissa Joan Hart, and Sean Astin in significant roles. A street smart little girl who shows up on their doorsteps and pretends to be a distant relative causes a family’s life to drastically change in the story’s central family. No Good Nick tells the story of Nicole, a 13-year-old who goes by Nick, who “infiltrates a family with the purpose of getting revenge on them for unintentionally wrecking her life,” according to the blurb. Now that she is a part of the family, she begins to form relationships with and care for the individuals. Can she execute her plans, then? Or perhaps feelings get in the way? Pickpockets (2018)
In the 2018 film “Pickpockets,” Fresh and Doggy, two young criminals who are also best friends, engage in petty theft on the streets of Bogota to support their everyday existence. Their strategy typically entails stealing wealthy people and handing over the loot to the leader in exchange for a very modest portion. Although being skilled in their employment, they lately started engaging in violent behaviour, making them easy prey for the police despite their competence.
For the pair’s benefit, they meet Chucho, a skilled thief. He offers to mentor them after recognising their potential. The group, which now includes Juana as a third recruit, quickly starts to acquire more stuff, such as jewellery, tablets, and huge sums of money. Chucho still receives a sizable portion of their income, therefore they must gradually remove him from the picture. Given that Fresh and Doggy have quite different perspectives on life, this proves to be a major struggle and puts their friendship to the test. Fresh utilises his money to support his family, whereas Doggy only wants to get rich. Russian-born Anna, who rose to fame after Jessica Pressler’s story titled “How Anna Delvey Tricked New York’s Party People,” moved to New York in 2013 and used deception to gain entry into the social elite. The programme also reveals how she duped New York’s elite into thinking she was a German heiress before presenting forged documents proving she was the only owner of a sizable trust fund. The show even depicts her exploiting the fictitious “German Heiress” character to cash a large number of phoney checks and obtain sizable loans with no collateral. In addition, “Inventing Anna” follows Anna Sorokin’s arrest and ultimate imprisonment in addition to discussing her aspirations to form an elite club with an artistic focus.
The Tinder Swindler (2022)
The Tinder Swindler, a film based on the true story of Israeli conman Simon Leviev, details how he defrauded women of thousands of dollars while living a life of luxury. Simon or Shimon, who was born Shimon Hayut, contacted women on the dating app Tinder from all around the world. Simon would take a woman he had matched with out on an expensive date, chauffeur her about in a nice automobile, and generally project an air of wealth and celebrity. In an effort to impress women, Simon went above and beyond, even arranging for some of them to fly on his own aircraft. Simon would concoct a story about how he was attacked and his security team was preventing him from using his credit cards once he had the woman thoroughly enthralled. Then, in exchange for a verbal pledge, the woman would be requested to send Simon enormous sums of money. Simon, however, never meant to keep such commitments and would instead provide false bank transfer information, financially devastating the victim. Even some of his victims’ real-life interviews are included in “The Tinder Swindler,” which demonstrates how some of them came up with a scheme to get even with him.
Yucatán (2018)
On the opulent cruise ship MS Sovereign, where he also resides, Clayderman performs as a pianist. Verónica, his wife, joins him on his journeys, and they look to be living the high life. Yet in reality, they are both scam artists who are constantly searching for gullible people to defraud of their money. The two see their long-distance friend Lucas board the ship one fine day. They keep a tight check on events, spotting a plot in progress, and discover that one of the passengers, Antonio, is an elderly baker who recently won a 16 million dollar jackpot. The pair engages in a final showdown with their archenemy to decide who is the greater thief in an effort to con the elderly guy out of his money.
