Castlevania Season 5 Will Not Return To Netflix But The Castlevania Universe Is Getting Even Bigger.

The Castlevania anime was a critical and commercial success. The first two seasons modify the 1989 entrance Castlevania III. Dracula’s Curse and implement Trevor Belmont, Alucard, and Sypha Belnades. As they protect the nation of Wallachia from Dracula and his minions.

The anime series’ plot centered around a vampire’s wife being burned at the stake after being falsely accused of witchcraft. Count Vlad Dracula epeș vows that all of Wallachia’s citizens shall pay the price with their lives.

He unleashes a demon army that overruns the country, leaving the inhabitants terrified and distrustful. To counteract this, the exiled monster hunter Trevor Belmont, aided by the wizard Sypha Belnades and Dracula’s dhampir son Alucard, takes up arms against Dracula’s army.

Castlevania Was Concluded After 4 Seasons

On March 27, 2020, Netflix announced they had renewed the series for a fourth season. Also confirming on April 16, 2021 that it would be the series’s final season. There are only 10 episodes in Season 4.

Unfortunately, the series will not be renewed for another season & the 4th season was the finale of the series. However, we have something else in store for the viewers. Instead of season five, a spin-off show based in the same universe as Castlevania has been commissioned.

Castlevania Spin-off

Netflix announced in May 2021 that a new series with a fresh group of characters picked in the Castlevania universe was being planned, but that it would not be a straightforward spin-off of the initial Castlevania series.

Instead, it will center on Richter Belmont, a descendant of Trevor and Sypha, and Maria Renard, and will be situated during the French Revolution. But something happened.

Castlevania Producer Sues After Being Excluded From Netflix Spinoff

Following a spate of sexual misconduct charges against the show’s creator and showrunner Warren Ellis, it was announced on July 31, 2020 that he would no longer be engaged in creating upcoming Castlevania series after the fourth season’s release.

On August 18, 2021, it was revealed that Adi Shankar is suing Netflix and Kevin Kolde for breach of contract and removing him from the spin-off.

According to the complaint, ‘Shankar was never consulted or even informed of the new spinoff series.’ Kolde ‘concocted a scheme to expand the Castlevania universe while simultaneously cutting Shankar out of the Agreement the parties made — and raising Kolde’s earnings,’ according to a complaint filed Wednesday in Los Angeles Superior Court.

To be more specific, Netflix has stated that the spin-off would not be a direct continuation of Castlevania, ruling out any of the characters we’ve already met. There is no official name for this second Castlevania narrative, and no voice cast has been announced.

However, we will keep our viewers informed as additional information becomes available and the status of this spin-off becomes clear.
