John Keiser, a biker, was struck by a car driven by Dennis Koch, an 89-year-old inhabitant of Dike. As Koch was driving his 2018 Jeep westbound on Old Highway 20 (D-19), the biker was also using the same portion of the road when they collided.
Keiser was taken to Mercy One Cedar Falls, where it is not yet known what injuries he sustained. Koch was given a penalty for his reckless driving close to the bike.
