Who doesn’t love soft-serve ice cream wrapped in fresh, tasty dough, rolled on wooden sticks, and grilled rotisserie-style? Sounds pretty unique and interesting, doesn’t it? When Jeremy Carlson was a student in Rexburg, Idaho, he was selling food on the side of the road to make money. This is how he came up with the idea for Crispy Cones. Soon, the European-style dessert became very popular, and people from all over Idaho would come to try the soft-serve ice cream that was full of good things.
In season 14 episode 17 of “Shark Tank,” Jeremy Carlson and his beloved wife Kaitlyn Carlson showed the Sharks their unique product, Crispy Cones. Crispy Cones are a creative dessert that was made in the Czech Republic. They take a European dessert and add a twist from the United States. Crispy Cones: Who Are They and What Do They Do?
Crispy Cones is soft-serve ice cream that comes in cones made of fresh dough and grilled on a rotisserie. The cones are flavoured with things like Oreos, cinnamon, Nutella, and other things. When Jeremy was in the Czech Republic on a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, he was the first person to try the dessert. He thought the treat was delicious and unique, which is not something people in the United States are used to. He realised that he should bring the product to the US, add a bit of his own style to it, and sell it there.
While Jeremy was still in school at Brigham Young University, he started selling the treats from a trailer. Jeremy started his business in Rexburg, Idaho, in 2018 with the help of his wife, Kaitlyn. He later opened a second store in Logan, Utah. In 2018, the young business owner went to Brigham Young University to study General Studies with a focus on Business.
Jeremy got his Bachelor of Science in Business Marketing from the Jon M. Huntsman School of Business at Utah State University in 2022. The young entrepreneur just got out of college, so he or she doesn’t have much work experience. The only job they’ve had is a five-month internship as Hotel Manager/Worker at Hotel tamberk. Jeremy has been focused on his business for the past four years. He started it in 2018 in Rexburg, Idaho, and opened a second store in Logan, Utah, in 2021.
Where is Crispy Cones Now?
A Crispy Cone is a cone made of fresh dough that has been roasted on a rotisserie and dusted with cinnamon and sugar. It can be filled with cookie butter, hazelnut chocolate, gourmet soft-serve ice cream, or both. People in the area say that the crispy, crunchy cones have what it takes to take over the dessert business. In 2018, Crispy Cones started out as a stand that sold snacks. It quickly became a favourite in the area, and its popularity has only grown over time. Crispy Cones has two corporate offices, one in Rexburg, Idaho, and the other in Logan, Utah. There are also 11 franchise stores in Arizona and Utah.

Spreads like cookie butter and Nutella are put in layers inside the cone. In the last step, the cones are filled with good ice cream. The time has come to eat the Crispy Cones. Depending on what the customer wants, toppings are also put on the cone. There are vanilla and chocolate flavours at the Crispy Cones store, but every week there are also new flavours. Each pint of ice cream costs $7.59 and comes in different flavours. Vanilla and chocolate are always available, but the other flavours change every week. Pistachio is the flavour of the week as of this writing.
The cinnamon-and-chocolate-layered hot cones cost $6.49 and have a traditional taste. The Hot Cone’s March 2023 special flavour is Orea. The spread comes in Nutella, cookie butter, and peanut butter flavours. Customers can pick their own toppings from Oreos, pretzels, almonds, walnuts, KitKat, cookie dough, graham crackers, Heath Bar, Almond Joy, Biscoff Cookies, and strawberries. It costs 25 cents for each extra topping. You can choose from four different kinds of sauce: Nutella, cookie butter, raspberry, and caramel.
The brand also sells cool stuff like stickers and T-shirts. At the moment, Crispy Cone T-shirts are being sold at a sale price of $29.99, while each sticker costs $2.50. We can’t wait to see what new products the brand will bring out soon. It’s great to see Crispy Cones make it to the top, and we’re sure the company will continue to do well in the years to come.
