Darby Rudd was born in New York City in 2010 to actor Paul Rudd and his wife of almost 20 years, Julie Yaeger. We don’t know for sure when Darby was born, but we do know that Paul Rudd’s youngest child is 12 years old. Even though Paul Rudd spends a lot of time traveling and working on movie sets, Darby spends most of her days with her family in the historic town of Rhinebeck, New York.
The Rudds are smart because they haven’t said where Darby goes to school. Based on her age, she is either in the sixth or seventh grade. So far, Darby Rudd hasn’t shown that she wants to be an actor like her famous father, even though she got a shout-out in the 2017 movie Fun Mom Dinner. Her father had a small role in the film, and her mother wrote the script.
The only other time Darby Rudd is seen in Hollywood is when she goes with her father or other family members to the red carpet premiere of one of his movies. Darby Rudd was only 5 years old when Paul Rudd joined the MCU with Marvel’s Ant-Man in 2015. Paul wasn’t sure how his daughter, Darby, would react to him playing the father of a young girl in a movie, but it seems that Darby liked it a lot more than Paul thought she would. After the second Ant-Man movie, Ant-Man and the Wasp, came out in 2018, he talked about it.
Paul Rudd told JaMonkey that there is a good chance that his character will be in a scene with a girl playing his daughter Cassie. “My daughter Darby isn’t much younger than you. And I can write these kinds of scenes because I’ve been there, so I know what it’s like. And I share it with my own daughter, which makes it one of my favorite things. She really likes it. When she was very young, I thought, “Is this going to be strange?”
“When my daughter is old enough to watch this movie, she will see me being a dad to a little girl,” he said. Instead, it’s the other way around.
