Ethan Crumbley, a sophomore at the age of 15, is suspected of being a participant in a school shooting in Michigan on Tuesday, November 30. Four children lost their lives in the incident, while eight people were injured, including a teacher.

Ethan Crumbley was then accused as an adult with 20 other offences and four charges of first-degree murder. His parents were accused of failing to keep the weapon locked away and secure.

CCTV footage shows Ethan Crumbley entering the restroom with his backpack but later leaving with nothing but a revolver. This is the forerunner to the catastrophe.

1) Disturbing drawings by Ethan Crumbley

According to reports, Ethan’s parents were called to the school the day of the shooting to talk about some of his threatening and suicidal drawings. According to reports, the 15-year-old had sketched about the murders. He was accused of basing his illustrations on video games. To explain the designs, Ethan told the counsellors he wanted to pursue a profession in game creation.

Ethan posted a picture of the new rifle his father bought on Instagram four days prior to the shooting. The caption on the image said,

3) Ethan’s father reportedly bought the gun as a Christmas present

Ethan Crumbley and his father James Crumbley bought the firearm on Black Friday, which was on November 26. On social media, his mother, Jennifer, reportedly announced the purchase and referred to it as his “new Christmas present.”

Jennifer also left a comment that has since been removed, which said:

“Mom and son test out his new Christmas gift on a sunny day.”

The note that came with the drawing that caused Ethan’s parents to be called to the school stated:

Help me, the thoughts won’t stop, and there’s blood everywhere.
Other remarks were,

“The world is dead,” and “my life is pointless.”

5) Ethan’s mother Jennifer texted him not to go ahead with the shooting

His mother apparently sent him a text after it was revealed that Oxford High was host to an active shooter.

But by that time he had already started the killing.

6) Ethan Crumbley’s father called 911

James Crumbley, Ethan’s father, called 911 to report his missing gun and speculated that his son might have been the school shooter around 15 minutes after Jennifer Crumbley sent her text.

7) Why are Ethan Crumbley’s parents, Jennifer and James Crumbley, being charged?

James and Jennifer Crumbley are accused of four charges of voluntary homicide. The fact that the gun was kept in an unlocked safe in the parents’ bedroom serves as one of the primary pieces of evidence against them.

Although Michigan law does not require that a firearm be kept locked away from children, the prosecution used this information to establish the parents’ negligence.

8) Ethan’s parents reportedly tried to flee

James and Jennifer Crumbley allegedly stole $4,000 from an ATM on December 3 at a town 15 miles distant from Oxford, according to CNN. In order to avoid being followed, authorities also claimed that they had turned off their phones.

Following their designation as a wanted person by the Oakland County Sheriff’s Office and the United States Marshals Service, a search was conducted for them. Meanwhile, in a statement to the Daily Beast, their attorney

“For their own protection, the Crumbleys departed the town the evening of the awful incident. To be charged, they are going back to the scene. In spite of recent remarks in media reports, they are not eluding police enforcement.”

9) Ethan Crumbley’s parents plead ‘not guilty’

James and Jennifer Crumbley entered a “not guilty” plea to the four counts of willful homicide on Saturday, December 4. Each of them has a $500,000 bail set before being jailed.

10) Ethan Crumbley previously searched for ammunition on his phone

According to reports, Ethan’s instructor observed him using his phone to look up where to get ammunition on November 21. The event was reported to the school administration, who informed Jennifer Crumbley of it through voicemail.

You need to learn to avoid getting caught, I’m not furious at you, LOL.
The maximum sentence for each count of murder for Ethan and his parents is 15 years in jail. The 15-year-punishment, old’s though, can be far harsher.
