Golden Freddy has been reimagined by a gifted fan artist in the glamrock aesthetic of Five Nights at Freddy’s: Security Breach. Since the release of Security Breach, several works of fan art have been inspired by the game’s striking aesthetics and compelling FNAF characters. With creative twists on canon attire or character versions, the work frequently shows recognisable characters like Freddy in novel settings or with updated designs.
Golden Freddy is now among the most venerable and important animatronics in the scene thanks to the background that has been added since the character’s enigmatic initial appearance in FNAF 1. In-universe, it was originally known as Fredbear and appeared on stage with Spring Bonnie in Fredbear’s Family Diner before playing a part in the death of the Crying Child, who many people believe to be Evan Afton. The character’s design, which frequently takes the form of a hunched-over figure, hasn’t changed much throughout the franchise despite being retired by Fazbear Entertainment a long time before the games’ plots. Contrarily, Spring Bonnie, his counterpart, has been the subject of many more inventive designs and is now the inspiration for the dreadful animatronic villain Springtrap.
Finally, Golden Freddy got an update, thanks to fan artist Snartles on Twitter. Similar to how the original Freddy Fazbear succeeded Fredbear, Glamrock Golden Freddy is marketed as being a “older/retired version” of Glamrock Freddy. This new version’s purple accents have been carried over to different details, including a purple lightning bolt mark above one eye. The animatronic is also obviously broken and has to be repaired as it is an ancient model. This iteration of FNAF’s Golden Freddy has been abandoned, just like its predecessor.
Glamrock Golden Freddy is covered in wisps of darkness, while Snartles’ fan art features a detached left arm hanging in midair as well as other eerie details. A different rendition of Snartles’ artwork increases the tension by populating the otherworldly gloom with numerous pairs of eyeballs. The elderly animatronic is clearly under the direction of a strong supernatural force, and it doesn’t appear too nice. It’s possible that Glamrock Golden Freddy is animated by one or more spirits that Springtrap and Vanny released into the world. The visual impact of this FNAF fan art is beautifully terrifying in either circumstance.
In the end, Snartles’ artwork illustrates an improbable but far from unwanted turn of events. According to canon, Fredbear has essentially disappeared by the time of Five Nights at Freddy’s: Security Breach. At this point in the narrative, several decades have passed, and it would appear that the mascot of a long-gone diner has no place in the bright glitz of the Mega Pizzaplex. Fans of Five Nights at Freddy’s can still find it amusing to speculate about what might have been. This Glamrock Golden Freddy distinguishes out from the competition and would bring a fantastically spooky touch to any Pizzaplex.
