With the release of Halloween Kills this month, Michael Myers is on the prowl, but not everyone is thrilled. In order to have scenes when Michael kills responding firefighters after escape Laurie’s burning house at the beginning of the film, a petition has been started on Change.org. Some of these deaths were seen in the official trailer before, and it was obvious that “the boogeyman” wasn’t being kind with them.
The petition’s description states, “I want the part in the new movie Halloween Kills where they portray the Slaughtering of firefighters.” “It is wrong since the individual who started the fire has killed firefighters after luring them to burning homes. And it’s awful that Michael used the equipment from the previous firefighters he killed to kill the firefighters. Both my mother and father, both retired firefighters, and I, a soon-to-be firefighter, find it to be quite disrespectful.”
The petitioner continues, “I therefore want that sequence to be cut from the film. Michael should have saved the two firefighters inside the house and continued on his route to his sister because he didn’t have to kill them because they saved him. That awful, revolting scene has no justification. especially considering that it actually did occur. As I’ve already mentioned, there have actually been cases of psychos killing firefighters who had been enticed to home fires.”
Many Halloween enthusiasts are not enjoying this at all. Since “murder is what these movies are about,” one has gone ahead and started their own pet ition to have the aforementioned petition stopped. Given that Michael kills pretty indiscriminately in the majority of Halloween flicks, it is difficult to deny that claim. In any case, I wouldn’t count on the footage getting erased, even though some people might not like seeing firefighters eating it in the opening moments of Halloween Kills.
In Halloween Kills, far more firefighters will perish than just a handful. Now that Haddonfield is aware of Michael’s rampage, a crowd forms with the Strodes who are still alive in an effort to kill him directly. We may get an idea of how cruel this specific episode of the franchise actually is from John Carpenter’s descriptions of the sequel as the “ultimate slasher movie” and “Halloween on steroids.”
Jamie Lee Curtis reprises her role as Laurie Strode after barely escaping Halloween 2018. Other actors from the first Halloween who are back for Halloween Kills include Nick Castle, Kyle Richards, Nancy Stephens, and Charles Cyphers, as seen in a brand-new Halloween Kills featurette. From the previous film, Judy Greer, Andi Matichak, Dylan Arnold, and Will Patton all return, and Anthony Michael Hall joins the ensemble as an older Tommy Doyle.
You can choose to watch Halloween Kills on a big or small screen. It was decided to give the movie a day-and-date release, which means that it would be shown in theatres on the same day that it is made freely available to stream on Peacock. You may start watching it on October 15th. iHorror alerted us to this article, and you can sign the petition on Change.org to have Halloween Kills remove its depictions of firefighter fatalities.
