Because “Harlem” on Prime Video will undoubtedly return for a second season in 2019! On December 7, the streamer teased first-look images of the fab four on what appeared to be a tropical vacation: Camille (Meagan Good), Quinn (Grace Byers), Angie (Shoniqua Shandai), and Tye (Jerrie Johnson). Could the location of the performance change?
Unquestionably, one of the best TV shows to air in 2021 was “Harlem.” There is so much to adore about it—the all-star ensemble, upbeat music, and genuine connection between the actors—and now we can drool over the show for yet another thrilling season.
The program’s season two renewal was officially announced by Prime Video on February 17. There was little doubt that the show would return to our screens quickly given its first success. The new show received two NAACP Image Award nominations for outstanding comedy series and outstanding directing in a comedy series not long after its winter premiere. The cast of the show loves it just as much as the audience do, and they each have their own predictions for season two.
Johnson previously revealed to POPSUGAR that they want Tye to “attempt to engage romantically and consistently with one person or persons” when the show returns for its second season. Johnson is also curious to see what Tye would do during quarantine if the show decides to incorporate the COVID-19 pandemic into its storyline given that she wouldn’t be able to go to the office. We also discussed the expectations for season two with Sullivan Jones (Jameson), Robert Ri’chard (Shawn), and Juani Feliz (Isabella).

“If we include the context of quarantine — [like] what Tye would do during quarantine when she can’t be in the office. I’m curious about that.” “I would like to see Tye attempt to engage romantically and consistently with one person or persons — I mean, polyamory is a cute topic. But I would like to see what that does for her.”
Sullivan Jones on “Harlem” Season 2
The people I speak to about the show are like, “That was bonkers.’ The whole “Get Out” storyline is amazing. I would love to see more Whoopi Goldberg just because she’s Whoopi, so why not? And then, how are they going to top “Get Out, The Musical”? It has to be like they make a movie or they redo “Hamilton,” or something crazy because it’s funny.
Robert Ri’chard on “Harlem” Season 2
“I think the one thing that I’m most excited about is 21st century dating on this show,” said one fan of the show. “Dating in the 21st century is so complicated. This show having a tech component and spotlighting that is incredible. For everybody to sit back at home, be represented on this show, and say, “I’m going through the same sh*t, girl,” is incredible.”
Juani Feliz on “Harlem” Season 2
“Quinn (Grace Byers) and Isabella have the basis for a really strong, deep connection and relationship because they come from a place of friendship. They have this care for each other and this mutual respect. I think it will be interesting to see how Isabella kind of holds Quinn’s hand through all of this, because it’s not going to be easy. It won’t be a walk in the park.
But I’m also really interested in seeing all the challenges they’re going to face, whether it be with their mother or whether Shawn (Ri’chard) is still in the picture, and how they’re going to weave in a comedy element.”
