Hidden Strike Plot Synopsis
In the opening scene of “Hidden Strike,” Dragon Luo and his team of agents arrive at the Yutime Chinese oil refinery to rescue almost 500 Chinese workers from the facility, which is being attacked by a group of rebels. After traversing the “Highway of Death,” one of Baghdad’s most deadly areas, Luo and his team must transport them to the Green Zone, a safe location. Professor Cheng, who has access to the refinery’s oil stockpile and carries the passcode, is a member of the group. Meanwhile, Chris, a former member of the special forces, agrees to his brother Henry’s suggestion to kidnap a Chinese criminal who is being transported to the Green Zone.
Chris, Henry, and their crew attack the Chinese buses and abduct Professor Cheng and a few other people as Luo and his squad take the Chinese citizens over the Highway of Death to the Green Zone. They follow Henry to the rebel leader Owen Paddock. Owen invites Chris to join them so they can make money, but Chris isn’t interested, so he leaves the group. Henry is killed by Owen because he is “young” and “desperate,” which makes him unreliable in Owen’s eyes. In addition to trying to locate Cheng and his daughter Mei, Luo requests that his team escort others to the Green Zone.
Owen puts French officials in danger after killing Henry in the hopes that they will assassinate Chris and put an end to the problem. After Luo confronts the American about the kidnapped Chinese people, the same officials confront Chris. To frighten the French away, they cooperate. Chris is aware that the rebel leader killed his brother, while Luo discovers that Owen and his crew are responsible for the kidnapping. Owen drives Cheng and the others to the oil refinery in the meantime. For the purpose of stealing the oil from the plant, he requests Cheng’s permission to enter the reserve.
The USB disc needed to access the reserve is in the professor’s luggage, which is with Mei, Cheng’s son informs Owen. He orders his troops to find it and bring it to him, but when they do, they find the community that Chris has been defending. Chris hands the bag to the men after a difficult struggle, but Owen quickly gains entry to the reserve.
Hidden Strike Ending: Does Luo Save Professor Cheng?
Owen takes the USB drive and passcode he took from Professor Cheng’s luggage to access the oil reserve and begins shipping oil from the refinery to enormous ships via international trade routes. He also uses trucks to transport the same. He commands one of his men to assassinate Cheng and the other Chinese hostages after getting what he wants from Cheng. In the meantime, Chris and Luo make their way to the refinery to save the professor. Chris hands Owen the professor’s bag without a struggle, not out of fear or a desire to engage in combat. He doesn’t want a fight in the community he guards, which may have endangered the lives of the residents and traumatised the children in his home.
Chris and Luo join forces to take on Owen’s guards at the refinery. They support one another throughout the battle to prevent the rebels from outnumbering them. once they enter the refinery’s control room. The two challenge Knox and demand that he kill Cheng and the other hostages. Knox is forced to run out of ammo by Luo and Chris by gunfire. When they realise Knox has run out of ammunition, Luo confronts him and begs Chris to stop Owen. Luo defeats the strong man with the aid of his fighting prowess. Luo appears to kill Knox at the end of the struggle in order to save Cheng and his son.
Because Owen doesn’t care much about making sure the professor is dead, Luo is able to save Cheng. He just instructs one of the rebels to watch the professor and her son and assassinate them later. Owen doesn’t really care whether Cheng dies or not because he destroys the USB drive, making it impossible for even Cheng to stop the oil flow, allowing Luo to save her and her son without truly endangering his life.
Does Chris Stop the Oil Heist? Does He Kill Owen?
Chris runs into Mei, who arrives at the refinery with the American’s car, after leaving Luo to stop Owen from escaping. They pursue Owen with the same, but he escapes from them using his expensive vehicle. Luo comes in the desert with the jet truck after saving Cheng and her son’s life. Chris and Mei get into the same vehicle and plough the truck into the cars Owen’s been using to transport oil from the refinery. The oil trucks burst during the collision, and Owen loses the oil he was going to trade on land.
Having destroyed the oil trucks, Luo now goes after Owen. His truck runs over Owen’s car and pushes it down a cliff. Luo attaches a rope to his daughter Mei and jumps from the truck to a landing with her in order to save both himself and her. They are saved because the other end of the rope is fastened to Owen’s car. Owen is aware that by moving his car, he could kill at least the daughter. But in doing so, he loses control of the car, which is teetering on the precipice. Before Chris can kill Owen on his own to exact his revenge for killing Henry, the car crashes into him and kills him.
Owen gets a chance to save himself when his car becomes motionless at the edge of the cliff. He had the option to abandon the car and take cover in the desert as Lou, Mei, and Chris became stranded at a landing below the cliff. Instead of defending himself, Owen decides to exact revenge on his enemies, but the fall ultimately results in his death. His own vindictiveness rewrites his destiny and guarantees his demise. Owen tries to find satisfaction in maybe killing Mei despite knowing that he would die. By cutting the rope, Lou manages to save his daughter, which serves as nothing more than the death knell for Owen.
Lou instructs his men to go to the ships that had been storing oil from the refinery after being rescued from the landing. The Chinese are able to secure the oil thanks to Chris and Lou’s intervention, putting an unsuccessful end to the heist.
Will Luo and Chris Team Up Again?
Luo and Chris make certain that Owen’s hamlet has access to water for their daily requirements after saving Cheng and ensuring his demise. Luo is informed that he has another mission to do. Chris nods in agreement when he invites him to join him. Since Chris no longer has any connections to the community where he has been living for years, he must be joining Luo. Due to the passing of his father and brother Henry, his existence at the location is full of terrible memories. He must be looking for a new beginning in his life, and perhaps joining Luo will allow him to do just that.
Chris might no longer have to worry about his town now that the rebels are either dead or helpless. After guaranteeing the villagers’ safety and that they have enough resources to exist, he will depart from the same place. Chris may be keeping an eye on Mei, which is what led him to team up with Lou on this new operation. He must have learned from Lou and Mei’s reunion that starting fresh is preferable to living in the past and suffering.
