History of the World Part II Trailer: A Hilarious Take on Historical Events
The trailer shows different times in human history. It shows abolitionist and social activist Harriet Tubman holding a gun to the heads of Confederate soldiers. One of them doesn’t even know who she is, so Tubman jokes and asks how they got to be in charge of keeping Black people as slaves.
In another storyline, Jesus meets Judas, and at a recording session, Austrian psychiatrist Sigmund Freud feels uncomfortable. The crazy things that happen keep happening, like when Noah fills his ark with animals.
There will be four parts to the eight-part series. The first two episodes will be shown for the first time on March 6 on Hulu. Over the next three days, two episodes will be released each day, and the last episode will be released on March 9. Check out the video below.
The Series will Explore the Themes of the Original Film
The TV show will look at the themes of the first movie. Nick Kroll recently talked about the show and said that it would continue to look into the theme that Brooks set up in the movie. “Mel’s main goal was always to make fun of how greedy and stupid people in power were,” he said.
“So, doing a history show at a time when we’re looking at what happened in the past and how it happened made it easy for me to carry on Mel’s tradition of making fun of people in power. “That really became the light that led us,” he said.
“Finally, a sequel to Mel Brooks’s seminal film HISTORY OF THE WORLD PART I, with different sketches from different times in human history in each episode,” Hulu wrote when it released the trailer.
