Where Spellbound on Hulu Was Filmed: Locations Disclosed

“Spellbound,” a preteen fantasy series created by Jill Girling and Lori Mather, centres on Cece Parker Jones, a free-spirited 15-year-old who moves to the gorgeous city of Paris in France from a little town in the United States and starts a new chapter in her life. She is overjoyed to have at last achieved her goal of receiving instruction at the world-renowned Paris Opera Ballet School. The students are promptly notified that they must reapply for admission to the school as a result of an administrative error.

Cece’s spirit is unaffected by the difficulty, and she uses tenacity and unwavering resolve to avoid being turned away and being deported back to her native country. The teenager’s objective is hampered, nevertheless, by a family secret. While hanging out at her Aunt Ginger’s W Apothecary, Cece discovers that she is a witch and the last surviving descendant of the most powerful order of witches known as the Wizens! She finds this out while perusing a magical book containing family spells! When Cece realises that, a spell she casts unleashes the Mystics, the Wizens’ archenemy, after going awry.

Now, Cece has to balance training to succeed at the prestigious dance school with learning how to use her power for the benefit of the world, all the while forging romantic and friendship bonds and facing her enemies. The delightful fusion of magic and dance in the Hulu original series is a fitting continuation of the time-travel dramedy “Find Me in Paris.” You’ve come to the correct place if the breathtaking and terrifying images of Cece’s enchanted realm have you wondering where the show is shot.

“Spellbound” is primarily set and filmed in Paris, much like its predecessor, “Find Me in Paris.” In particular, the opera and ballet company Opera National de Paris collaborates with the Palais Garnier to host the fantasy show’s filming. Palais Garnier, sometimes called Opéra Garnier, is one of the most famous opera houses in the world. It was created by Charles Garnier and is located at the intersection of Scribe and Auber streets in the capital city’s ninth arrondissement, at the Place de l’Opéra.

The 1,979-seat great venue, which opened in 1875, features an eclectic mix of Beaux-Arts and Baroque Revival architectural styles. Thus, it should come as no surprise that the “Spellbound” production crew selected Palais Garnier as the location for filming. The iconic opera house’s auditorium and public spaces are just two of the locations where the cast and crew film. The location has been used to film a number of films over the years, including “Find Me in Paris,” “Marathon Man,” “Marie Antoinette,” “Interview with the Vampire: The Vampire Chronicles,” and “War and Remembrance.”

Brussels, Belgium

The cast and crew of “Spellbound” not only travel to Paris but also to Brussels, Belgium, to continue the production. Brussels, which is in the northeastern region of Belgium, is well-known for its historical and architectural sites, which include the Royal Palace of Brussels, the Grand Place/Grote Markt, the Town Hall, the Mont des Arts/Kunstberg neighbourhood, and the Cathedral of St. Michael and St. Gudula. As a result, it shouldn’t surprise you if you see any of these locations serving as the background for a few scenes.
