Jared Kushner is well-known to those who have followed politics over the past seven years. He is Ivanka Trump’s husband and the son-in-law of former president Donald Trump. Kushner and his wife accepted unpaid positions at the White House as advisors to the president. They were important members of the former president’s inner circle. According to Politico, Kushner was a “senior advisor” and the director of the Office of American Innovation, a position that was created at the start of Trump’s presidency and later eliminated.
Given his prior roles in Trump’s government, many people have probably wondered what Kushner’s past is like. Despite the fact that Kushner prefers to keep a low profile and is well known for generally avoiding public speaking, we know quite a bit about his personal life, including the fact that he has numerous siblings. The Kushner sisters, however, have done a better job than their brother at avoiding the spotlight despite having a renowned name.
Jared Kushner’s sister Nicole works for Kushner Companies
According to Biography, Jared Kushner was the second of Charles and Seryl Kushner’s four children and was born in Livingston, New Jersey, in 1981. Joshua, Nicole, his younger sister, and Dara, his older sister, are his siblings.
Nicole, one of the Kushner children, is arguably more well-known, although she still keeps a low profile. She is presently employed by Manhattan-based real estate giant Kushner Companies, which is run by her father, according to Town & Country. According to Esquire, Nicole (now known as Nicole Kushner Meyer) is wed to Joseph Meyer, the head of Observer Media. The New York Times reports that Jared created the web media company Observer Media in 2007.
Nicole, like the rest of her family, hasn’t always been able to steer clear of controversy, though. The Washington Post published a story in 2017 right before Donald Trump took office that said Nicole was part in a Trump and Kushner-backed scheme whereby Chinese millionaires would be given visas in exchange for substantial investments in Kushner properties. The contentious visa, which is formally known as an EB-5 visa, does in fact exist and is legitimate. Trump and Kushner, though, faced harsh criticism for reportedly seeking to capitalise on it while in office. After that, Kushner Companies apologised, claiming that “attempt[ing] to seduce investors” was “not Ms. Meyer’s purpose.”
Dara Kushner continues to maintain a low profile
The Kushners are a quiet family, although Dara Kushner, the oldest, appears to be more accomplished than the others. Dara is the least well-known of the Kushner children. Unlike her siblings, she does not work for the Kushner Companies and is hardly ever spotted in public. Dara continues to lead a peaceful life in their New Jersey hometown of Livingston, according to New York Magazine.
She and her husband, David Orbach, visited her brother and in-laws in Washington as part of a family trip, according to a Daily Mail report from the summer of 2017. A portion of the vacation involved entertaining her and Orbach’s four children, along with their three Jared’s side cousins (snapshots were taken of the seven young children playing in the James S. Brady Press Briefing Room). Dara was also referred to as a “homemaker” by the publication.
Orbach and Dara uphold their Orthodox Jewish beliefs, just like Jared and Ivanka (who converted to Judaism after their marriage). Orbach is the chairman of Regal Bank in New Jersey and has a long history in the banking sector, according to his LinkedIn profile.
