The Boys is notorious for going to extremes, but Jensen Ackles, the new lead, seems to have found one scene to be just too excessive.
The third season of the Amazon Prime series will see the Supernatural actor as the original Super Soldier Boy.
Ackles admitted in an interview with Entertainment Weekly that he rejected filming one (undisclosed) scene for his character after hearing about it in the screenplay.
The actor remembers telling the creator Erik Kripke that he couldn’t do it because he is a father of three, a son, a spouse, and a self-respecting human being. You discovered my line even though I didn’t know where it was.
We came to a solution where I got what I needed without his losing his soul, continued Kripke.
Season 3 will have a musical number that centres on Tomer Capone’s Frenchie and Karen Fukuhara’s Kimiko Miyashiro.
“I was practically the lead character and was standing in the middle of the set. Fukuhara recently admitted to EW, “I never thought my fantasy would come true.
She continued, “I’m not used to it. “You can’t perform the choreography if you don’t know the fundamental moves. It’s very challenging.
In the meantime, a brand-new trailer for The Boys season 3 recently debuted, hinting at new heroes and some particularly gory sequences to come.
