Hawkeye, a character played by Marvel actor Jeremy Renner in several films and television programmes in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, suffered significant injuries while snowblowing over the New Year’s Eve holiday weekend.
According to the agent for Renner:
We can report that Jeremy, who was injured while shovelling snow earlier today due to a weather-related mishap, is in critical but stable condition. He is being well cared for and has his family by his side.
Renner owns a home in Nevada, and hundreds of people lost power over the weekend in the county where his home is located due to heavy snowfall, however the precise nature and location of the accident have not yet been confirmed.
One of the original six Avengers from the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Renner is best known for that role. He initially made his Hawkeye cameo appearance in the 2011 film Thor. Renner has played Hawkeye in Captain America: Civil War, the Hawkeye and What If…? TV series on Disney+, in addition to the four Avengers movies.
He was nominated for two Academy Awards: one for his ground-breaking performance in The Hurt Locker in 2009 and the other for the crime movie The Town from 2011. His other significant films include Arrival, Wind River, Tag, The Bourne Legacy, and several appearances as Agent William Brandt in the Mission: Impossible series.
