In the animated show Blood of Zeus, Heron, who is the son of Zeus and a demigod, has to fight an army of bad guys to stop the end of the world. Alexia is one of Heron’s most trusted coworkers, and Henwick gives her a voice. Even though Alexia is just a normal human and not a god or demigod, she has been fighting the army of demons for a long time, much longer than the main character. Because of this, she becomes like a mentor to him. Even when she’s just using her voice, the actress is always great. The character is determined, brave, and loyal, and the actress shows all of those traits.
Game of Thrones
Game of Thrones was one of the most popular TV shows ever, but everyone stopped liking it after the last season, which wasn’t very good. As a member of House Martell, one of the most important houses in Westeros, Henwick had a small role. She played Nymeria Sand, one of Oberyn Martell’s (Pedro Pascal) daughters and a member of the Sand Snakes, a fierce group of women fighters. Even though her part isn’t the biggest, the actress gives her character a strange personality, like someone who is always at her boss’s whim. Peg might be on the island so that we can see some of what’s going on from the point of view of someone who doesn’t have all the power. This works because we feel sorry for Henwick and want her to do well.
Iron Fist
Iron Fist was the first time that many people saw Henwick act or use her martial arts skills. In the Netflix TV show, she played Coleen Wing, a coworker and love interest of Danny Rand, the Iron Fist (Finn Jones). The actress’s charm and the way she showed that she was a strong, confident fighter even though she had a lot of doubts about herself made her the most popular character in a show that wasn’t very popular. So much so that by the end of the second and last season, her character had become the new Iron Fist. It made sense that the show wasn’t renewed, but fans were left wondering what would have happened next, as Coleen (and Henwick) getting a bigger role was an exciting idea.
Finn Jones told Comic Book that he thinks her character should be in the second part of Shang-Chi. Jones said, “It would be cool to see Colleen come back and still have the Iron Fist.” “I think it would be cool if she showed up in Shang-Chi with the Iron Fist still in her hands. From where we left off for Season 2, there are so many things you could do with this.”
Love and Monsters
Love and Monsters tells the story of Joel (Dylan O’Brien), who lives in a bunker with some friends after radiation-changed monsters take over the world. When he finds out that Aimee (Henwick), his high school sweetheart, is still alive, he goes on a dangerous journey to find her. This movie is a great choice for sci-fi fans to watch on Valentine’s Day, and Henwick’s role is surprisingly good. Even though her character could have just been the boring love interest, the actress’s confidence and charisma, along with the story, make her a much more interesting person. Aimee is kind, brave, smart, and well-liked in her colony. Even though she’s moved on and is now with someone else, she still wants to help and spend time with Joel. Matrix Resurrections (2021)
The Matrix Resurrections is the most recent part of the series, and it has a lot to say about toxic nostalgia and reboots. Henwick plays Bugs, who is the movie’s version of Morpheus because she is the one who tells Mr. Anderson/Neo what is going on in the Matrix. Her character has blue hair and is both a good fighter and a good hacker, which makes her the ideal ally in the movie. Henwick’s role made her one of the movie’s standouts because she was the one who looked like she was having the most fun and also fought the best. Some people think that this is a better series for her than Iron Fist.
Moley
Moley is an animated kids’ show about a friendly mole named Moley who lives under Windsor Castle and has all kinds of strange things happen to him. Henwick voices one of the main characters’ best friends, Dotty. Dotty doesn’t eat any animal products, and she’s smart, loyal, and always up for an adventure. Dotty is a fan favourite because the actress can bring out all of Dotty’s wonder and desire to live life to the fullest through her voice.
On the Rocks (2020)
In On the Rocks, Rashida Jones plays Laura, who thinks her husband Dean (Marlon Wayans) is having an affair. She asks her father Felix (Bill Murray) to help her find out the truth. Henwick plays the character Fiona, with whom Dean may be having an affair. Even though it’s not a big part, the actress gives Fiona a happy-go-lucky attitude and shows some of the insecurity Fiona is feeling at work as she gets more responsibilities.
Spirit Warriors
Spirit Warriors, a BBC show about a group of teenagers who find out they are the descendants of Chinese warriors and must protect the world, was Henwick’s first acting job. It was also the lead role. The actress showed how good she was at martial arts because her character was the best in the whole show. But if that was all, it wouldn’t be on the list. Henwick also kicked butt, in a dramatic sense, because she showed everything that happened to her character with her whole body. This show was the best place for her to learn how to act at such a young age.
Star Wars: Episode VII – The Force Awakens (2015)
In Star Wars: Episode VII – The Force Awakens, Rey (Daisy Ridley), Finn (John Boyega), and Poe Dameron are among the new heroes of the galaxy (Oscar Isaac). As pilot Jessika Pava, Henwick has a small role in the movie. Her character is one of the best pilots in the resistance and is as determined as she is brave.
Henwick told The Hollywood Reporter, “I was auditioning for a different character, so I spent six months auditioning for that character.” She was almost cast as Rey. Then, at the end, J.J. said, “I want you to be in the movie, but I want to write a character for you.” So, this is how Jess Pava came to be. But after six months, it’s impossible not to want [the original role]. So, by the end of those six months, I was a mess.”
