FARGO — Now that Josh Duhamel and Audra Mari, North Dakota’s favourite pair, are wed, the couple’s recent wedding ceremony and celebration in Fargo are being made public for the first time.
But it’s much, much more than that—the magazine Vogue Australia featured a full-page spread on the occasion with 49 images.
On Saturday, September 10, the celebrations began with a wedding ceremony at Olivet Lutheran Church and continued with a reception at Drekker Brewing Company.
The article from Vogue Australia with the headline “Josh Duhamel and Audra Mari’s Fargo wedding was cosy, classic and a touch rock ‘n’ roll” was published on Wednesday, September 14. Since then, Mari has shared pictures from the big day on her open Instagram and Facebook profiles.
Mari made the decision to be married while wearing a full-skirted, long-sleeved dress by Australian designer Leah Da Gloria. Mari appeared in at least three different dresses throughout the night as captured in photographs.
Photos showed the bride and groom had ten bridesmaids and ten groomsmen at the wedding, and they rode a classic red convertible to the reception.
Social media users have posted pictures of a couple giving the “horns up” sign to the North Dakota State University Bison while driving.
There was no doubt, according to the magazine, that the pair would wed in Fargo.
For us, it was of utmost importance. In addition to being our home, it was also incredibly easy for us to see everyone we love, Mari was quoted as saying in the magazine.
Mari, 28, started modelling when she was 14 and later participated in pageants.
First runner-up in the Miss Teen USA competition, she won more pageant accolades after graduating from Fargo Davies High School in 2012.
Mari won the 2016 Miss World America competition in National Harbor, Maryland after placing first runner-up at the 2014 Miss USA pageant in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
In 2019, she and Duhamel started dating after connecting through a friend.
Backroads with Audra Mari, a new video series she started in July 2021, made its debut on all Forum Communications Company news platforms. She was a full-time student at NDSU who was pursuing a business degree while taking online courses.
Duhamel, 49, who was born and raised in Minot, serves as the organization’s spokeswoman.
On September 23, his latest film “Bandit,” which will also have a limited theatrical run, will be released.
After getting married, Mari may have adopted Duhamel’s name because at least one social media account refers to her as Audra Duhamel.
