Five years ago, Disney first talked about a plan to make a live-action version of another classic animated movie. When it came out in the early 2000s, Lilo & Stitch was one of the company’s movies that got a lot of attention. The Hollywood Reporter says that Zach Galifianakis will be the first person to be cast in the live-action version of the story. TheWrap has since said that he will play Pleakley, the alien who Kevin McDonald voiced in the animated movie.
Galifianakis is a well-known name in the comedy world. He has been in movies like “The Hangover,” “The Campaign,” and “Due Date.” But he was also in movies like Bob’s Burgers and The Muppets that were good for the whole family. He has also done the voices for animated movies like Ron’s Gone Wrong and The Lego Batman Movie. Since his career isn’t limited to one type of movie, he can act in movies for people of all ages, which makes him a great choice for Lilo & Stitch.
Chris Kekaniokalani Bright wrote the script for the animated movie, and Dean Fleischer Camp is in charge of the direction. Ryan Halprin will be the executive producer, and Dan Lin and Jonathan Eirich will be the producers. We hope that the movie will be the kind of entertaining and interesting piece of art that we’ve come to expect from Disney.
