Remember When Little Nightmares Studio Announced “We’ve been busy” With A Hazy Video & Ambiguous Pictures

The creator of Little Nightmares, Tarsier Studios, teased the arrival of something new with a menacing video posted on their Twitter account.

The studio tweeted on May 24 with the comment, “We’ve been busy.”  alongside a hazy video featuring a number of ambiguous pictures. The video is only six seconds long (coincidence? ), and it shows what appears to be an old, abandoned structure, a car travelling down a deserted roadway, and several legs that resemble goblins sitting on top of the building.

Check out the enigmatic video below to see what you can decipher.

Of course, we’re all hoping for some sort of Little Nightmares sequel—perhaps some DLC for Little Nightmares 2 or maybe Little Nightmares 3—to come out. But regrettably for ardent Six and Mono fans, it might actually be something entirely different. This is because it was previously rumoured that Tarsier would switch to new intellectual property following the release of Little Nightmares 2.

However, since the February 2021 release of Little Nightmares 2, there have also been clues regarding further Little Nightmares material, so don’t put away your tiny yellow raincoats just yet. The fan who found possible DLC integration in the Little Nightmares 2 menu was the first. Even if it’s only a tiny hint, we wouldn’t be surprised if the sequel received some downloadable material, similar to what the first game in the series received with the Secrets of the Maw DLC.

Shortly after, several job postings at the studio stated that Tarsier was engaged in “two new games.” Although one of the job postings did request “an art director with a solid portfolio and passion for creating games within the visual style of Little Nightmares,” these two projects were, and still are, largely a mystery.

However, if anything, it kind of implies that we might at least be getting another game that is comparable to the horror-puzzle platformer, which is also fantastic news. This doesn’t mean that we’re getting a new Little Nightmares game.
