Friends, pay attention! Even though it won’t be released for some time, a “M3GAN” sequel is formally under development. The movie, officially named “M3GAN 2.0,” has received Universal Pictures’ approval and will once more be made by Blumhouse and Atomic Monster. The final two girls in the epicentre of the doll’s terror, Allison Williams and Violet McGraw, as well as scriptwriter Akela Cooper, will all be back.
Gerard Johnstone is one name whose future is less certain. The Hollywood Reporter believes that producers intend to negotiate for the director to return, despite the fact that he was not named in the press statement. It would be disappointing if he didn’t because “M3GAN” might not have become the cultural phenomenon it is today without his involvement in the horror-comedy genre. However, if a deal can’t be reached, perhaps the budding Cooper will try his hand at becoming a director. Her tale is told in the original movie just as much as Johnstone’s.
Whatever the case, it’s still unknown what “M3GAN 2.0” will be all about. The conclusion did, however, provide a really important hint. We won’t go into detail, but if you saw the movie, read our analysis of the finale to understand what it specifically alludes to in the future. No matter the rating, you can trust that it’s already going to be wild.
