Malia White made history as Below Deck Mediterranean’s first female bosun, and she recently explained why she won’t be back for season 7. Malia initially appeared to viewers in Below Deck Med season 2 as a novice deckhand. The first season of Malia raised some issues. Chef Adam Glick and Bosun Wesley both have feelings for her romantically. She was drawn more to Wesley, who promoted her to lead deckhand after being pleased by her work ethic. In spite of appearing as though they had just met on the boat, it was later discovered that Malia and Adam had already met before going aboard Below Deck Med and had a brief fling.
Malia left the show after Below Deck Med season 2 and returned as a bosun for season 5. Malia had to establish her leadership skills because the deck team was all men. She had to reprimand deckhand Peter Hunziker for calling her “sweetie,” much to her disgust. When Malia revealed that Chief Stew Hannah Ferrier was travelling with unregistered anxiety medication and a CBD vape pen, she caused a stir. Hannah was fired by Captain Sandy Yawn, which infuriated the audience. Thankfully, Malia’s return for Below Deck Med season 6 was somewhat less dramatic, and her deck crew performed admirably under her direction.
Malia won’t be returning for Below Deck Med season 7, which will disappoint fans. Her motivations, however, are unrelated to the negative feedback she received for tipping off Hannah. Malia admitted to a terrible scooter accident to Showbiz CheatSheet. Additionally, I’m studying for a significant oral exam, so it would be a good time for me to pull back and take a vacation. “And the misconceptions are on the programme [that] I got a lot of criticism for the entire Hannah issue and all this stuff,” Malia said in reference to the incident with Hannah. Like, I have no regrets or worries about the programme. Malia stated that everyone had taken something out from the Hannah controversy and that she just wanted everyone to move on.
