Marcia Lucas, who is well-known for having a significant impact on the 1977–1983 original Star Wars trilogy, will conduct her first interview for the upcoming Icons Unearthed series’ premiere episode, Icons Unearthed: Star Wars.
Icons Unearthed: Star Wars, the first episode of the anthology series, will reportedly go in-depth into the creation of the well-known space opera franchise, according to Deadline. The programme will feature interviews with a number of major participants in the franchise’s development, both in front of and behind the camera, including the first on-camera discussion with Lucas, who edited the first three films.
George Lucas, the creator of Star Wars, was married to Linda Lucas at the time. As an editor, together with Paul Hirsch and Richard Chew, Lucas had a significant role in the creation of the first Star Wars movie. She will provide audiences with a unique, deeper perspective into the creation and production of the legendary movie because of her connection to the franchise’s originator. Along with Lucas, the programme promises to provide never-before-told tales about the film’s production by interviewing crew members from all across the world.
Before it was released, many people predicted the failure of the 1977 film Star Wars because of production issues. Despite taking a long time to develop and produce, the movie was well received upon release and went on to become a cultural icon, inspiring one of the biggest multimedia franchises in the world with a variety of prequels, sequels, television series, video games, and an endless supply of toy lines and merchandise. The Star Wars enthusiasm doesn’t seem to be slowing down with the creation of many Disney Plus series.
The Nacelle Company, which also created the Netflix series The Toys That Made Us, which included a Star Wars-themed episode, is the producer of Icons Unearthed. While specifics of what the production crew learned from their interviews are still unknown, fans of the movie series may anticipate several intriguing surprises.
Brian Volk-Weiss is the director and executive producer of Icons Unearthed: Star Wars, together with Cisco Henson, Ian Roumain, Alyssa Michek, and Ben Frost. Lucas, Hirsch, as well as performers Anthony Daniels, Billy Dee Williams, and Ian McDiarmid, to mention a few, will make appearances in it.
On July 12, Vice TV telecasted Icons Unearthed: Star Wars.
