Monarca Season 3: Why Was It Cancelled? Is There Any Chance Of Revival?

There is a good reason why Mexican television programmes are so popular and frequently appear on binge lists. One of the most common options for combining all available genres into a single broadcast is Mexican television.

Mexican television programmes come in a wide variety of styles, but they all have plenty of fun, drama, and physical conflict.

Speaking of such a mix in a single show, “Monarca” ought to be there. One such programme that can be chosen without hesitation is Monarca. The fact that there is a lot of drama is what matters most in this situation.

You can watch the Monarca characters and cheer for them as they compete with one another to establish their family as a well-known brand because they are compelling enough.

The series, which is based on the same-named Mexican soap opera, follows the Monarcas as they navigate Mexico’s affluent world of tequila and billionaires, focusing on their complicated relationships, power battles, and family disputes.

Two spectacular seasons of the Mexican drama series created for Netflix were packed with intrigue, brawls, and pure entertainment. The show’s viewers are a little anxious about the future after learning that the final episode would not air until January 2021. Here is all the information we currently have about Monarca.

What Is The Show About?

There are many family dramas that include wealthy criminal families and illicit enterprises, and a common theme in these stories is that the business must be maintained in order for any inheritance to be possible. Most family-owned firms experience challenging succession issues. This one is a good fit for the description.

There is a tonne of drama, mystery, and pivotal choices throughout the plot. It chronicles the tale of a wealthy Mexican tequila tycoon and his family.

The crooked world of well-known corporations with their own bizarre regulations also provides an intriguing background for the plot.

Despite an unforeseen crisis developing in her father’s business, Ana Maria, the sole child of a business magnate and the future heir to his enterprise, returns to Mexico from overseas where she resided as part of her foreign upbringing.

This programme clearly brings attention to issues that are complex, debatable, and rarely discussed in Mexican society, such as how you need to get along with both drug dealers and government officials if you want to prosper.

This series’ depictions of the social and economic problems affecting the trucking industry are based on actual problems. Drivers struggle to bring items to markets in many Mexican states where drug cartels control city roads.

Monarca Season 3: Is It H appening?

The Mexican drama series debuted for the first time in 2019 and introduced the world to a deranged billionaire family that owns tequila in the nation and is plagued by corruption and bloodshed.

Because the audience responded favourably to the show, season 2 was released and debuted in January 2021.

The programme performed successfully in other Latin American nations such as the Dominican Republic, Venezuela, Panama, and Honduras. It spent 27 days in the top 10 charts in Mexico. At one point, the TV programme even managed to show up on US television ratings.

Sadly, despite such a positive reception, the series’ future is uncertain. With no indication of a season 3 in sight, it appears that the show has come to an end.

Despite the fact that the season 2 finale left many things unanswered, it was still tough to recommend watching unless you had already seen the earlier episodes.

Why Is Monarca Getting Cancelled?

Since the series’ January 2021 debut, fans have been debating whether to renew it. A Mexican entertainment publication called Sensacine has been eagerly monitoring the news of the show’s return.

The return of the show is becoming less likely, according to a statement made on March 26th, 2021, because two of the leads have uploaded Instagram photographs saying goodbye to their co-stars.

The actor who portrays Andrés Carranza Dávila on the show, Osvaldo Benavides, released a tweet on social media announcing the conclusion of the programme.

In his post, he mentioned saying farewell to Andres Carranza and the significance of the voyage for him as an actor. Additionally, he expressed gratitude to everyone who contributed to the project and concluded by stating, “Exit, bye.”

In a similar vein, the show’s Ana Mara Carranza Dávila, played by Irene Azuela, announced on social media that there will be no season two.

She made reference to a show that could have had more seasons but chose to terminate after season 2 by writing that some storylines end even when they don’t.

She expressed gratitude to the cast and crew in her post. She continued by saying how happy she is to be a member of a top-notch programme that has gained recognition internationally.

Juan Manuel Bernal verified the Netflix show’s actual cancellation through a Mexican publisher after the uproar caused by these social media interpretations of Monarca’s finale.

In addition, he said that the cancellation surprised both him and the crowd. He complained that the show didn’t deserve such a conclusion in order to vent his dissatisfaction.

How Did Monarca End In Season 2?

Following the passing of President Flores, Joaquin is able to play political games and elevate himself to the position of Monarca’s leader. In the meantime, Mexico’s new president is Jorge Laborde.

Sophia believes she has identified Augustin’s killer after Joaquin transfers control of the family business to his siblings, but it turns out Cecilia was simply trying to cover for herself.

Due to the disclosure of his relationship with Ana Maria and the fact that he was once set up by a man she paid off while looking into her father’s murder, Sophia believes that Martin is not a viable presidential contender.

Another stunning development is the discovery that Joaquin was not, as previously believed, Fausto Carranza’s son after DNA samples from the Carranza brothers were analysed. Joaquin receives the sample from Ana Maria, who requests his opinion.

It’s unfortunate that we won’t get to find out what Monarca has in store for us because the show finished on a cliffhanger. But for those who were intrigued enough by this article to give it a shot, the series is accessible via Netflix.
