Netflix’s Indian Hindi-Language show “Class,” which is based on the Spanish series “Elite,” follows three transfers students named Dheeraj Kumar Valmiki (Piyush Khati), Saba Manzoor (Madhyama Segal), and Balli Sehrawat (Cwaayal Singh) as they attend Hampton International, a fictitious school for the children of the powerful and wealthy in India, on scholarships, along with their affluent
The film “Class,” which is set in Delhi, examines the complexity of Indian life and sheds focus on themes including wealth inequality, casteism, corruption, homophobia, child maltreatment, and addiction. The series starts with the death of a significant individual, and for the remainder of the season, it alternates between the past and present while the police look for the truth. Here is all the information you would need regarding how the first season of “Class” ended. Spoilers follow.
Class Recap
In “Class,” there are two unique timelines. The daughter of prominent realtor Suraj Ahuja and his wife Garima is murdered in the present (Anjali Sivaraman). Dheeraj “Dheeru” is apprehended by the police after they discover him seated next to the dead body. He starts out by outlining the sequence of incidents that brought him there during the interrogation. The story then begins to alternate between the past and the present, merging the two timelines eventually. The plot mostly centers on Hampton International students and their families in the past, with the police conducting character interviews in the present.
Dheeru, Saba, and Balli start attending Hampton International two months before Suhani is killed after their prior school, Nurpur Khatola Government School, is destroyed in a large fire. The incident that resulted in the deaths of six children is attributed to Suraj Ahuja. Except for the three pupils described above, Suraj sends all Nurpur Khatola students to other schools throughout Delhi in order to placate the public. He brings all three of them to Hampton International, where Suhani and Veer (Zeyn Shaw), his children, attend school.
Dheeru, Saba, and Balli’s lives eventually become entwined with those of their classmates as they begin attending the new school. Suhani and Dheeru grow attracted to one another, but when she meets Neeraj or Neeru, Dheeru’s older brother and an anti-caste campaigner (Gurfateh Pirzada), she begins sleeping with him and eventually becomes pregnant. Prior to Saba’s entrance, Veer was in a relationship with Yashika Mehta (Ayesha Kanga), the class valedictorian. Yashika begs her boyfriend to seduce Saba and record their sex act because she fears she won’t be awarded the Hampton Gold scholarship. However, as Saba gets to know Veer, she worries about his violent rage and they end up being genuinely close.
One of Veer’s closest friends, Dhruv (Chayan Chopra), connects with Saba’s brother Faruq (Chintan Rachchh) via Balli. Faruq desires to escape his birthplace much like his sister does. Faruq has turned to selling illegal marijuana because he is not as intellectually talented as others. He and Dhruv develop what is arguably the most romantic connection in the entire series. Meanwhile, Koel Kalra (Naina Bhan) and Sharan Gujral, two rich classmates, engage in a turbulent ménage à trois with Balli, the most stereotypically Delhi-born of the three transfer students.
The school hosts the famous Founder’s Day in the season 1 finale, and the Hampton Gold has an unexpected winner. After finding out about the pregnancy, Suhani has made the decision to leave with Neeru. Dheeru decides to stop them since he feels deceived by both his brother and the girl he loves. Sharan becomes more and more frightened as a result of Balli and Koel’s discoveries about his sexual orientation, which have exposed him to cruel jeers.
Class Ending: Who Killed Suhani?
Suhani’s horrific death is the main topic of discussion this season. Suraj and Garima’s poor parenting is largely to blame for Suhani’s turbulent upbringing. She was put on numerous medications and soon began using over-the-counter ones. Suhani, who is still very much a teenager, began dating Mayank before the start of the program, who, as he had done with his other victims, published her images online. Suhani is still very much a teenager. It is strongly hinted that Veer and his friends assassinated Mayank when they found about it.
Suhani informs Dheeru and Neeru about the diamond-encrusted, precious metals-made phones that Tarun Kalra, Koel’s father, collects after discovering that Dheeru and Neeru’s father owes 15 lakh rupees (1.5 million) to SK Chowdhary, a Nurpur corporator who is on Suraj’s payroll. These phones are successfully stolen by Neeru, who then starts to blackmail the other man for 25 lakh rupees after understanding that one of the phones contains important encrypted data that might put Tarun in jail. Neeru leaves the phone with Suhani before meeting Tarun. With Balli’s assistance, Koel notices the other girl holding the phone and makes an unsuccessful attempt to take it.
After seeing everything, Sharan starts to think that he can get Koel back if he can just obtain the phone from Suhani. He repeatedly slaps Suhani with the Hampton Gold award she had earlier been given by the school to appease her family during their altercation. He goes to Koel to explain what has happened after grabbing the phone. Koel, who is cold and cunning, throws Sharan’s bloody clothing and the prize into a lake. Neeru is detained for the murder after Dheeru gives a testimony claiming to have seen his brother fleeing from Suhani’s body. It was discovered that Tarun had agreed to bribe the detectives looking into the murder.
Who Is blackmailing Sharan and Koel?
After killing Suhani, Sharan approaches Koel and explains what he did and why, but neither of them realizes that Balli has emerged and is observing them. After Neeru’s imprisonment, things appear to be calming down until one of them receives a message from an anonymous sender ordering them to be quiet and inquiring what they would receive in return. Additionally, they send a picture of Sharan and Koel taken shortly after Suhani passed away. We can presume that Balli is the blackmailer because he was standing there and went for his phone right before the camera cut away from him.
Balli is based on Christian Varela Expósito from the original series, and while Christian is aware of Suhani’s murderer from season 1, he doesn’t blackmail Carla Rosón Caleruega and Leopoldo “Polo” Benavent Villada, who play Koel and Sharan. He claims to know the truth, which prompts Carla to talk to her father Teo Rosón, who sets up an incident where Christian suffers serious injuries. After Christian makes a pledge that he won’t ever tell the truth, Teo sends him to Switzerland for medical treatment. Unless the creators of the Indian series opt to give him a different story, Balli’s character arc in the adaption will probably follow the same course.
Who Is the Informant?
Suraj is incarcerated in episode 6 for setting Nurpur Khatola on fire, which resulted in the deaths of six children. Chowdhary is also detained later in the series due to his involvement in the arson case. The only thing that can demonstrate Tarun’s involvement in this is the information found on the phone that Neeru took. Sadly, Tarun has recovered the phone at the conclusion of the season. Additionally, he takes the cash Veer brings him so that the police can be bought off and Suraj can be set free. Tarun tells his wife emphatically that he has no plans to do it.
Ironically, Tarun ironically uses the money intended to liberate Suhani’s father from prison to pay off the police officers looking into her death in the season finale. It is therefore reasonable to believe that Tarun was the one who informed the police about Suraj and Chowdhary’s participation in the Nurpur Khatola burning. It is fairly obvious why Koel is the way she is—her father taught her everything. Tarun fires Suraj and Chowdhary as they prove to be a burden to him.
