Never Have I Ever Season 4 Trailer Teases a ‘Banging Senior Year’ for Devi
The season three finale, where Devi and her on-again, off-again love interest ultimately committed the crime, is where the trailer picks up right after. Relations between the two quickly get awkward as Devi avoids talking to Ben in order to prevent conflict but becomes envious when she sees him kissing someone else. The message, “A Banging Ending,” is read over the video.
To a furious Devi, Ben responds, “I assumed it was, like, a one-time thing. The protagonist and Paxton are then seen reuniting at the school and sharing a brief moment. Ethan, a classmate who turned hot over the summer, is currently on every lady on the class’s want list, including Devi.
Devi is striving to get into Princeton College while once more juggling her love life and studies. Also, the teaser features some amusing scenes with Eleanor, Fabiola, Kamala, Nalini, and Dr. Jamie Ryan, as well as her friends and family. On June 8th, Netflix will release the first episode of Never Have I Ever’s 10-episode final season.
Showrunner Says the Ending will Divide the Audience
According to Lang Fisher, who co-created the show with Mindy Kaling, depending on who Devi eventually ends up with, a certain segment of viewers would find the ending unsatisfactory because various viewers ship Devi with different people.
“I believe that a portion of the population will be disappointed because, you know, the love triangle is resolved and choices are made. But I hope that we did it in a way that made everyone feel like they won, even though they may have lost in certain ways,” added Fisher.
“I believe we performed well… Yet, I do believe that we have produced a monster as a result of that, and people do feel very strongly about it, she continued. A high-school drama can only last until the main characters graduate, therefore Kaling revealed that the choice to end the show after four seasons was made creatively.
The Cast will Reprise their Roles in the New Season
The major cast members of Never Have I Ever, including Maitreyi Ramakrishnan as Devi Vishwakumar, Darren Barnet as Paxton Hall-Yoshida, Jaren Lewison as Ben Gross, Ramona Young as Eleanor Wong, and Lee Rodriguez as Fabiola Torres, are all returning their roles in the show’s final season.
Together with Benjamin Norris as Trent Harrison, Richa Moorjani plays Kamala Nandiwadal, Niecy Nash plays Dr. Jamie Ryan, Ranjita Chakravarty plays Dr. Nirmala Vishwakumar, and Poorna Jagannathan plays Dr. Nalini Vishwakumar. Ethan is portrayed by Michael Cimino, while the narrator is John McEnroe.
