Explained: Nezuko Full Demon Form In Demon Slayer

  • DCS

One of the most significant characters in Demon Slayer is Nezuko Kamado. She is essentially the cause of Tanjiro’s decision to become a Demon Slayer, which is the primary theme of the manga and anime. Muzan Kibutsuji converted Nezuko Kamado into a demon, but her metamorphosis was never complete, and even though she occasionally lacked self-control, she remained a supporter of the Demon Slayers.

We’re going to describe Nezuko’s new form in the Demon Slayer anime because her transformation has numerous forms and her “Awakened Form” was just recently presented in the anime.

Muzan Kibutsuji transformed Nezuko Kamado into a demon, but the transformation was never complete, and Nezuko Kamado’s forms gradually began to awaken. The “Awakened Form,” which is Nezuko’s ultimate and full demonic form in which she goes crazy and becomes incredibly powerful and resembles an adult version of herself, was first introduced in episode 13 of the second season of the anime.

The remainder of this essay will go into further detail about Nezuko’s dual demon/human nature. You’ll learn more information about Nezuko’s forms, particularly the “Awakened Form,” as well as some specifics regarding how she reverts to being a human. You may find all the details you require about Nezuko in this post, which we have compiled for you.

How Do Nezuko’s Transformations Work?

We can only make educated guesses as to the precise biology underlying Nezuko’s transformations since the exact method by which she underwent each transition was never fully elucidated. Nezuko became a demon after contracting Muzan’s blood infection. But for some reason, she was able to retain a sizable percentage of her humanity, giving her the capacity to function as a demon without consuming human blood and the ability to be sun-resistant.

Given that Tanjiro has repeatedly demonstrated his ability to calm Nezuko and undo her changes, this is likely related to their close relationship. Since Nezuko and Muzan were her only surviving family members, their relationship was so strong that it likely prevented Nezuko’s body from fully absorbing Muzan’s blood, allowing her to “control” rather than fully convert into a demon.

Why Can Nezuko Transform?

If you want to know the complete story, we believe that the best way to go is to read Nezuko’s origin story because that is the story that explains how she came to be a demon in the first place. Nezuko, for example, gets changed into a demon by Muzan Kibutsuji, the one who murdered her family, after a demon nearly kills everyone in her family.

She first acts brutally, even attacking the sole member of her family still alive, her brother Tanjiro. When the Hashira attempts to harm him, she instantly regains her composure and leaps in front of him to defend him from Giyu Tomioka. After this brief altercation, she nods out, and Giyu instructs Tanjiro to locate a man by the name of Sakonji Urokodaki.

She hides in a cave, watches the sunrise, and waits for her brother to find something to carry her so they can go throughout the day after being taken by him to bury their departed family. They proceed to Sakonji’s house as a result, but on the way there they come upon a demon that has just slaughtered and eaten a family. Tanjiro strikes the demon by striking him in the jaw with his axe, but he immediately recovers from his injuries and bragged about his power to generate.

The demon charges Tanjiro in rage, but Nezuko strikes him in the skull with a single stroke, sending his body flying as he continues to assault. The monster is successfully repelled by Tanjiro and Nezuko, who hang its head from a tree and toss its body off a mountain.

They are told by Sakonji, who emerges out of nowhere, that they cannot defeat a demon with these techniques. While Tanjiro hesitates to execute the final blow, the sun finally rises, destroying the demon as Nezuko flees into the home for cover.

Tanjiro and Nezuko are taken by Sakonji after receiving a brief reprimand and a strength test. Sakonji then instructs Tanjiro in the Water Breathing. Then, for the following two years that Tanjiro is in training, Nezuko does not even stir when Tanjiro departs for the Final Selection. Sakonji looks after her during this period until his sister finally wakes up, at which point he returns triumphant from the selection. Tanjiro is greeted by her, who kisses him to allay his concerns about her.

As you can see, Nezuko’s dual nature allows her to change into a demon. Muzan turned her into a demon, but the metamorphosis was not total, and she retained a significant amount of her humanity in the process. She can change because of this, making her both a human and a demon.

How Is Nezuko’s “Awakened Form” from Season 2 Different?

Nezuko has the ability to change into a “out of control” state when she is in a dangerous circumstance, which manifests as red and green leaves flowing over her body, her veins protruding, and a horn protruding from the right side of her forehead. The “Awakened Form” is what we refer to as.

Nezuko’s fighting skills are improved in this form, but she must transform into a more demon-like state and must consume human blood. She needs someone to sing a song to her in order to return to her regular form right now, which is Tanjiro in this instance. Nezuko is able to exert complete control over this form while fighting Hantengu.

Because it is Nezuko’s genuine demonic form, this appearance is distinct from everything else we have seen thus far. This form is so different from the others because it displays Nezuko’s real demonic form and the demon powers she possesses, whereas the others were hybrid forms with Nezuko still clinging to her humanity.

How Does Nezuko Become Human Again?

Nezuko’s transformation into a human takes place in the Sunrise Countdown Arc, which is the second half of the Final Battle Arc and in which Muzan is vanquished by the Demon Slayer Corps. Nezuko gets up in the middle of the action, as if she has some sort of insight into Tajiro and Muzan’s conflict. She rushes into the jungle as Sakonji asks the girl what’s wrong, appearing to be drawn to Tanjiro and knowing of his coming demise.

Kiriya screams for her to be lifted up as she is distressed and unsure of what to do. Nezuko is then released by Kiriya as she recalls her father’s advice to let her do as she pleases. Nezuko is still being pursued by Urokodaki, but he cannot keep up with her speed. She then makes a safe landing in the trees below after leaping off a cliff. Nezuko starts to drastically shift as she runs into the city.

Her hair once more turns exclusively black, and her right eye transforms back into a human eye. Nezuko grows furious as she recalls Muzan killing her family. Then she recalls how Tanjiro, who was terrified and in a frantic attempt to save her life, carried her through the snow. She recalls every ally and friend she met along the way, as well as all the special times they had together, including the time Sanemi stabbed her.

Her hands have now changed to human as she continues to revert. As she regains her full human form, she envisions Tanjiro reaching out to her and offering to look out for her.
