On the winter premiere of Grey’s Anatomy, Meredith Grey bid farewell. Scott Speedman is staying put, or did Nick decide to go to Boston with her?
We were concerned about Meredith and Nick when Scott Speedman was downgraded for Grey’s Anatomy Season 19 to a recurrent guest star. Then we learned that Ellen Pompeo will only appear in a select few episodes.
It appeared at first that Nick had abandoned Meredith in the Grey’s Anatomy Season 18 finale. He then turned back up, and Meredith and Nick’s situation appeared to be favourable. Meredith then decided not to tell Nick about her decision to go to Boston. Nick was unsure of what he would do or what it would entail for him and Meredith.
Did Nick leave with Meredith in Grey’s Anatomy?
Nick was rightfully upset that Meredith excluded him from the conversation. Do those words imply that things weren’t as serious as he believed? When they eventually discussed it, Meredith finally had her say.
Meredith told Nick that she loved him, but he didn’t reciprocate. It appears that he hasn’t spoken it yet. Meredith interpreted this as him not taking things seriously, therefore she excluded him from her decision-making when it came to what was best for Zola. That’s what this action is, too. It’s all about Zola, therefore I can’t hold Meredith accountable for what she did as a mother.
Nick went to Joe’s pub as Meredith left for her surprise party and then went to the airport. Helm had the opportunity to talk to him about how incredible Meredith Grey is at that point. While it did, Nick couldn’t board the plane because it was already too late. He finally called her to confess his love to her, but she said she couldn’t hear him and that she had to get going, so she hung up.
What?!?!
We’ll just have to wait and see what the two of them are up to, I suppose. Things remain unresolved.
