Nintendo has officially released a new Nintendo Switch OLED inspired by the highly-awaited The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. The statement was made during the gameplay launch on Tuesday.
The OLED variants of the gaming console were originally launched for titles like Splatoon 3 and Pokémon Scarlet and Violet. Nintendo will also launch a few of new accessories to go with Tears of the Kingdom. Read on to find the release date and price of the new Nintendo Switch OLED.
Nintendo Announces New Nintendo Switch OLED
The Nintendo Switch OLED will be launched on April 28, two weeks before the release of The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. The console will sport a 7-inch 720p OLED screen with 64 GB of internal storage.
It will be functionally comparable to the OLED released in October 2021 but will contain Tears of the Kingdom-inspired runic inscriptions on Joy-Con controllers and dock. The new console will retail at $359.99, equivalent to the other limited-edition Switch OLEDs. The game will be offered individually.

Interested people can pre-order the system on the official website of Nintendo and Best Buy. The console was introduced during the huge gameplay reveal for Tears of the Kingdom. Earlier, a number of photographs of the console leaked online through various leaks.

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom will be Launched in May
The video game, a follow-up to Breath of the Wild from 2017, will be available on May 12. Nintendo describes The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom on the Nintendo Switch as “an epic adventure over the land and skies of Hyrule.” In a universe powered by your imagination, the journey is all yours to make.

How to Pre-Order Tears of the Kingdom?
Priced at $69.99, The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is available now. Pre-orders for the game are currently open on GameStop, Best Buy, and Amazon. Subscribers to Switch Online can purchase a Nintendo Switch Game Voucher for $99.98, which entitles them to two games for the price of the voucher. So, Tears of the Kingdom can be purchased for a total of $99.98 when combined with another expensive game.
A Zelda-themed Nintendo Switch Pro Controller will cost $74.99 and be available from Nintendo on May 12. Moreover, Best Buy accepts preorders for it. The Nintendo Switch OLED carrying case, which retails for $24,99, is an additional item being released alongside the game. Pre-orders for the black and gold casing are also accepted.
