Patrick Justin McAfee, better known by his ring name Pat McAfee, is an American sports analyst, color commentator, professional wrestler, and former punter and kickoff specialist for the NFL. He was born in Plum, Pennsylvania, on May 2, 1987. He is presently signed to WWE, where he works as a color commentator for the SmackDown brand and occasionally wrestles.
Pat played in the Super Bowl his first season, losing to the New Orleans Saints, and was selected by the Indianapolis Colts in the seventh round of the 2009 NFL Draft as a placekicker out of West Virginia. McAfee played in the National Football League (NFL) for eight years, making two Pro Bowls and an All-Pro in 2014.
McAfee has worked as a football analyst since he stopped playing football in February 2017. Prior to being confirmed as a member of ESPN’s Thursday Night College Football team in July 2019, he served as a guest host for Fox Sports’ college and NFL broadcasts in late 2018. Additionally, he frequently participates in Get Up! and College GameDay. He presently hosts The Pat McAfee Show on Mad Dog Sports Radio on Sirius XM.
