The dead, who was also an actor, made appearances in a couple films with his mother. On Sunday, Drena posted a touching message on social media to confirm his passing. The reason of death, however, has not yet been made public.

On July 2, Drena announced the tragic news of her son’s passing on Instagram. ‘My lovely, precious angel. I have loved you indescribably since the first time I sensed your presence inside of me. All that was ever true, pure, and joyful in my life has been you. She posted a photo of Leandro and commented, “I wish I was with you right now.
“I want to be here with you. I don’t know how to survive without you, but I’ll make an effort to carry on and share the love and brightness that becoming your mother has made me feel. I wish that love alone could have rescued you because you were so incredibly loved and valued, she continued.

Leandro’s father Carlos Mare was also mentioned in the tweet by Drena, who added the hashtag #carlosmare. My sweet baby, rest in peace and enjoy eternal paradise.
Words can’t quite describe the joy he brought us or the sorrow we are currently experiencing alongside our families and friends, Mare wrote in the comments. He is now a Godchild. Leandro was Found Unconscious in New York
Leandro was found unresponsive on Sunday about 2:23 pm, and although the circumstances of his death have not yet been made public, the NYPD has confirmed that EMS declared him dead at the scene.
Leandro was an actor by trade, most known for his part in the Bradley Cooper and Lady Gaga-starrer A Star is Born from 2018. Alongside Drena De Niro, he also appeared in The Collection in 2005 and Cabaret Maxime in 2018.
Robert De Niro Issues Statement
Robert De Niro has released a statement in response to his grandson’s tragic passing. The renowned actor expressed his sorrow over the loss of his adored grandson Leo. Thank you very much for your condolences, everyone. We kindly request space to process our loss of Leo in private.
“We say goodbye to our beloved son Leo with immeasurable shock and sadness,” Drena further emphasised in the statement. We appreciate the love and support that have been shown to us, and we respectfully request some space to mourn this unbearable loss right now.
