Online celebrity and artist Rolling Ray took a sudden break from social media in January after contracting COVID-19.

The 25-year-old rapper was said to have passed away, despite the fact that he is still very much alive. Fans were weary of hearing about his condition because his team did not confirm or deny that he had passed away.

The social media sensation uploaded a video showing himself in a wheelchair on his Twitter account on April 5. The word “NOT DEAD” was written on the right side of his shaved head. The artist asserted his survival after exiting a lift. He said as he turned to face the camera:

“Oh. Wait? I’m still alive. The dead never gave. Never play games with me. Rolling Ray, the most well-known wheelchair-bound youngster, is saying, “Puurrr! It’s still giving what’s intended to be gave!”
He wrote in a tweet:

On social media, many stories about the celebrity using a wheelchair have been circulating.

The singer was reportedly taken to the hospital in September 2018 after being struck by a car as she crossed the street. He became wheelchair-bound as a result of the same. A photo of Rolling Ray lying in a hospital bed with a motorised wheelchair by his side was also posted on his Twitter account, “confirming” the incident. Tweet stated:

Rolling Ray tweeted a few days after the incident that the folks who wanted him to pass away were “very upset” that he was still alive because “it wasn’t my time!”

As he was in the hospital, he said that music royalty Jay-Z and Beyoncé phoned him and advised him to “keep his head up” and disregard the haters who thought the incident was a publicity gimmick.

Following the release of Saucy Santana’s diss track Walk, Ray’s supporters also conjectured that he had a handicap from birth. The internet conjectured that the song was about him when the latter uncannily published it on National Disability Day.

Ray shared a comment on social media in response to Santana’s song, saying that it is important to recognise the challenges that people with disabilities endure. He also discussed the difficulties wheelchair users experience in terms of both physical and mental health. The message said:

Following his participation on MTV’s Catfish: Trolls, Ray rose to fame online. The conflict between him and his other online rival Camyonce was featured on the episode on which he guested.
