Hollow Knight: Silksong’s “global debut” has reportedly been hinted at for this year’s Summer Game Fest.
All eyes are on the Summer Game Fest display for a glimpse at all the gaming delights we’ll be savouring in in the months and years ahead after this year’s E3 2022 was severely disrupted. Geoff Keighley will once again serve as the host of the live event, which will take place on June 9.
Keighley is obviously in the mood to tease, as the concert is only around the corner. There’s nothing like the excitement of seeing a terrific world premiere arrive in your inbox, he tweeted, in addition to expressing his delight for the films that will be present. While Keighley is currently keeping the game a secret, a reply to his tweet may have accidentally revealed it.
Matthew Griffin responded, “I approve of the tease,” as noted by ResetEra(opens in new tab) user modiz. Griffin is in charge of Hollow Knight: Silksong’s marketing and publication, which would imply that the eagerly anticipated Metroidvania will be present.
There’s nothing like the feeling of seeing a good world premiere arrive in your inbox.
Although the Hollow Knight sequel was previously planned for 2019, little new information has been released since then. When a GeForce leak suggested that Hollow Knight: Silksong might arrive in February 2022, it appeared as though the game was imminent at the time. Sadly, that didn’t happen, and the game also didn’t appear in the Nintendo Indie World presentation last month. Developer Team Cherry stated in April, “When we can finally reveal the game with you all, it will be exciting. Surely not much longer than that!” Let’s all hope that day arrives during the Summer Game Fest on Thursday.
Until Hollow Knight: Silksong is out, keep up with the E3 2022 schedule to pass the time.
