When Laguna Beach debuted in 2004, Stephen Colletti was everyone’s favourite reality TV heartthrob, and 18 years later, viewers are still interested in the star’s love life. Back to the Beach with Kristin and Stephen is a new podcast that Stephen recently started with his ex-girlfriend and former co-star Kristin Cavallari. Fans of Laguna Beach can still hear Kristin whimpering her boyfriend’s name whenever she was irritated with him. The two dated on and off during seasons 1 and 2 of the reality series. In addition, Stephen had an affair with his best friend Lauren Conrad, and throughout the series, he appeared to switch between his connections with the two women.
His brief relationship with Lauren never materialised because he kept returning to Kristin’s embrace. Although Lauren and Stephen went on a date together in a season 3 episode of The Hills, Stephen ultimately chose against continuing the relationship since his best friend from Laguna Beach brought too many memories of high school to mind. Stephen dated the Nashville actress Hayden Panettiere for two years after his relationships with Kristin and Lauren. Later, Stephen dated Chelsea Kane, with whom he co-starred on One Tree Hill during the affair between their characters Chase Adams and Tara Richards. 2011 through 2013, Stephen and Chelsea were romantically involved.
Since breaking up with Chelsea, Stephen has been very secretive about his dating life, and as of 2022, it seems that he is not seeing anyone. As he rewatches Laguna Beach episodes for his podcast Back to the Beach with Kristin and Stephen, the actor is staying busy revisiting his high school years. Stephen is still legally single and has never had children, in contrast to Kristin and Lauren who have both been married and have welcomed multiple children into the world. Stephen has remained committed to his business and co-created the comedy-drama Everyone Is Doing Great with James Lafferty, with whom he co-stars on One Tree Hill.
