‘FBI: International’ is the third installment in the ‘FBI’ franchise, and it was created by Dick Wolf and Derek Haas. The “Fly Team,” a select squad of FBI agents who work outside the US, is the focus of the story. The team, which has its headquarters in Budapest, Hungary, is primarily responsible for defending American interests throughout Europe. The Fly Team frequently assists with the investigation when an American is involved in a criminal incident on the continent.
Tank is frequently referred to as a Schitzhund in “FBI: International,” which is German for “protection dog.” Scott Forrester, the captain of the Fly Team (Luke Kleintank), is seldom ever seen in the first season of the show without Tank by his side. But in season 2, the dog’s appearances are somewhat less. We’ve got you covered if you’re curious about the causes. Spoilers follow.
What Happened to Tank?
As Green (the Giant Schnauzer who plays Tank in “FBI: International”) is in real life, let us first reassure you, dear readers, that Tank is OK in the show. The “secret” weapon of the group, Tank was formerly an FBI cadaver dog. When the FBI decided to retire the dog after a few years of duty, as it does with other canines, Forrester intervened on the grounds that Tank didn’t want to quit working. Since then, the two of them have been a couple.
Kleintank discussed his character’s relationship with Tank in a TV Insider interview. Everyone admires Tank. On set, we all adore him tremendously, he remarked. He is adorable, yet he is still a baby. I’m not sure if folks are aware of this. Green is the name of a three-year-old puppy. We all adore him utterly. I’ll let you know that he’s not leaving. He will always be present. Since he is his kid and has been in Scott’s care since he was a youngster, I believe Scott cares a lot for him despite the fact that he is meant to be older in the programme.
Tank’s moments with Forrester and the dog with Zsólt, the neighbor’s boy, make up the most of his appearances in season 2. When Forrester must travel outside the city for work, the boy takes care of Tank. Showrunner Derek Haas discussed how they struck a compromise between their want to include the dog in more scenes and the demands of the story in November 2021. “Tank’s going to have some issues of his own coming up,” he said to TV Insider. However, we just wing it based on what the script requires for each episode as far as how often we use him. We’re not attempting to compel him to participate in scenarios that are inappropriate for him. However, that puppy is very endearing, and we liked the notion that Forrester is somewhat of a lost dog himself, so it makes sense that he would bond with the lost dog.
In episode 18 of season 2, Tank makes a brief appearance as Forrester hides out after learning that a Russian assassin is out to get him. Additionally, the dog will make a comeback in the season 2 finale, so viewers won’t have to wait too long to see Tank again, according to a TVLine source.
