Terry Price Obituary: Honoring the Legacy of a Beloved Individual

The Terry Price family has not yet released the Terry Price obituary.

The loss of Terry Price, their defensive ends coach, is being mourned by the Texas A&M football community.

Price, 55, was a well respected coach as well as a talented recruiter and former Aggie player.

He became a member of the team’s coaching staff in 2012 and made significant contributions to its success, which led to 21 bowl trips throughout the course of his illustrious career.

Unfortunately, there is yet no information on what caused his death.

A distinguished coaching career in the SEC

Before going back to Texas A&M, Price spent 10 seasons at Auburn (1999-2008) and two stints at Ole Miss (1995-98 and 2009-11). He was a well-known defensive line coach in the Southeastern Conference.

He served as Jimbo Fisher’s assistant before Kevin Sumlin took over.

The Aggies’ defensive line greatly benefited from Price’s coaching experience, which allowed them to lead the SEC in defence in 2020 and finish fourth overall.

Both Rivals.com and 247Sports.com named Price the No. 12 overall recruiter in the country in 2014, recognising him as a standout recruiter.

He successfully recruited five-star defensive linemen Myles Garrett (2014), Daylon Mack (2015), DeMarvin Leal (2019), and Justin Madubuike (2016), making a huge contribution to the team’s success. His influence on the Aggies was apparent.

He is notable for having worked with Quentin Groves, who owns the record for most sacks in Auburn history.

Price, the All-Southwest conference honoree and NFL player

Price played for the Aggies in football for four years, from 1986 to 1989. As a senior, he was named to the All-Southwest Conference team and was recognised as an honourable mention All-American by The Sporting News.

He won two conference championships during his career and led the Aggie defensive line in tackles both as a junior and a senior.

He even spent two seasons in the NFL with the Chicago Bears and Miami Dolphins before coming back to Aggieland in 1992 to finish his undergraduate work.

Coach Slocum’s staff was where Terry got his start as a volunteer football coach.

Terry Price obituary: Father, family man, and friend

The specifics of Terry Price’s funeral are not yet known because his obituary has not been made public.

Price had an impact beyond the football pitch as well; he was well-liked by his teammates, players, and the community.

Terry was not only a fantastic football coach, recruiter, and Aggie, but he was also a fantastic husband, father, and guy, according to a statement from Texas A&M. He had an incredible effect on both his players and this programme. Our football community has experienced a terrible loss.

Similar feelings about his passing were expressed by numerous other coaches, former players, and supporters.

Price’s wife Kenya and their two sons, Alexander and Devin, were left to continue on without him after his unexpected death.

The family did find some solace in Devin’s pursuit of football, which was motivated by his late father.

Before transferring to Florida Atlantic University this past offseason, he played for the Aggies for three years.
