Over the years, Google has produced a variety of Easter eggs and secret delights, one of which is a Thanos Easter egg with an Avengers theme that is tucked away in Google Search. There are several Easter eggs in movies, and one in Avengers: Endgame paid homage to Roscoe Simons, a different Captain America. The Thanos Snap Easter egg is no longer available on Google, but that doesn’t mean it can’t still be accessed online.
Easter eggs are a common feature of Google’s Android mobile operating system as well as its other products and services, including Google Search. In fact, Google frequently participates in celebrations with a themed Easter egg whenever a big movie is launched or an anniversary is reached. In 2019, when The Wizard of Oz celebrated its 80th anniversary, this also occurred, as did it right before the release of the most recent Avengers film.

Using the dropdown menu, you can also choose how many numbers you wish to see on the wheel.
The Super Mario Bros. Easter egg is yet another time-honored classic. If you enter “Super Mario Brothers” into the search box, the knowledge panel on the right side of the search results will display a coin block with a question mark. To hear the recognisable coin tone and earn 200 points, click on it. Not only that, but 100 clicks on the coin block will produce the recognisable 1-Up sound. Clearly, if you know where to search, Google Search still has a tonne of Easter eggs available.
Why Google Removed The Thanos Easter Egg
The Thanos snap Easter egg is still available on the elgooG website, which is fantastic, but why was it ever taken down from Google Search in the first place? While some Google Easter eggs are permanent and stay for years, others are transient and only exist for a short period of time. Usually, this occurs when Easter eggs are time-sensitive. For instance, searching for “Askew” on Google Search still tilts and crookes the page. Others are no longer around, such as the Thanos snap Easter egg.
This is just one instance of how Google hides an Easter egg in Google Search, as was already mentioned. In February 2022, Google introduced a Bat-Signal trick to their Search page in homage to Matt Reeves’ The Batman.
