We all know that “The Blacklist” is a crime drama series that centres on the enigmatic Raymond “Red” Reddington (James Spader), a formerly notorious felon who voluntarily surrenders to the FBI in exchange for the chance to assist them in apprehending other lethal criminals. Since its debut in 2013, this perplexing exhibition by Jon Bokenkamp has truly had us on our toes. It therefore comes as no surprise that its most recent episode, which is episode 12 of season 8, did the same thing but in a very different and solemn way. The final scene of “The Blacklistepisode, “‘s “Rakitin,” is a memorial to Tobias Core. Let’s therefore learn more about him.
Who Was Tobias Core on The Blacklist?
Tobias “Toby” Core, a member of the “The Blacklist” production staff, was born in 1973. Unfortunately, we cannot be certain whether he was a member of the camera crew, the art department, a makeup artist, or an assistant director because very little publicly available information on him exists. Unfortunately, this prevents us from fully appreciating the breadth of his contribution to the series. Tobias Core’s IMDB page does, however, indicate that he was a second unit director/assistant director. However, we cannot be certain if it is the same person or not, especially given that ‘The Blacklist’ is not listed among his credits.
The unsung heroes of every film or television production are typically the cast and crew. In addition to putting in long hours to make sure the filming goes smoothly, they frequently don’t get the recognition they deserve for all the services they provide. Additionally, recently they have had to focus even more on their vocation because of the current pandemic. After all, it’s the crew that makes sure the entertainment industry runs smoothly, especially when it comes to series like “The Blacklist,” which have such a distinct tone and style that even a small mistake can throw everything off course.
