Tushar Atre Murder – “48 Hours on ID” Where Are the four murderers now?

In the most current 48 Hours on ID series, the murder of Tushar Atre was featured.

48 Hours on ID’s riveting true crime series, Who Shot the Tech Exec?, explored the terrifying 2019 kidnapping and murder case of 50-year-old Tushar Atre in its season 18 premiere.

The show was broadcast on Investigation Discovery on January 9, 2023 at 10:00 PM ET.

On his cannabis farm in the Santa Cruz highlands, Tushar Atre, a successful software executive who later became a cannabis entrepreneur, was discovered shot and stabbed.

According to ID’s official 48 Hours summary, Tracy Smith investigates his kidnapping and murder and follows the trail that lead to four suspects.

When 48 Hours on ID announced the episode, Who Shot the Tech Exec, viewers have been eager to learn everything there is to know about the alleged killings.

The next 48 Hours episode will focus further on the investigation into Tushar Atre’s slaying.

Police investigation suspected four suspects

In the kidnapping and murder of businessman and technology executive Tushar Atre, 50, four people are thought to be the main suspects.

Kurtis Charters, Stephen Nicolas Lindsay, Joshua Camps, and Kaleb Charters are the four men.

At the present, Stephen is 24 years old, Kaleb is 21 years old, Kurtis is 23 years old, and Joshua is 25 years old. According to reports, Kaleb and Stephen worked for Tushar Atre.

They worked at his cannabis company location on Soquel San Jose Drive in Santa Cruz for about two weeks.

The two reportedly encountered problems when they purportedly lost Atre’s car keys over this brief interval.

The 50-year-old owner then cancelled the two employees’ wages and made them perform push-ups as punishment for their mistake.

After being taken captive from his lavish beachfront property in Santa Cruz on October 1, 2019, Atre was eventually found dead at around 9 a.m. that same day.

Atre was robbed by three intruders, who were caught on camera driving away in his girlfriend’s BMW SUV.

The main suspects in the investigation of the crime were identified as Kurtis Charters, Joshua Camps, Stephen Nicolas Lindsay, and Kaleb Charters.

Where are the four murderers now?

In the Santa Cruz County Prison on Water Street, the four individuals are currently being detained as murder suspects.

They attempted to obtain bail, but a Santa Cruz court denied them.

Assault, first-degree robbery, first-degree burglary, second-degree robbery, carjacking, and kidnapping with the intent to conduct other crimes are among the seven counts of accusations that each of them is facing. But, they chose not to plead guilty.

All four suspected suspects are currently in court awaiting trial.

If proven guilty, they would reportedly receive a life term in jail, possibly without the chance of release.
