The Underworld series kicks full ass because it is the only franchise in which leather-clad vampires attempt to use BDSM whips to fight enormous werewolves. This contemporary Gothic epic, which debuted in 2003, depicts the tale of a long-ago conflict between vampires and the full-moon creatures known as Lycans. Selene (Kate Beckinsale), a “Death Dealer” vowed to eradicate werewolves from the earth permanently, is caught in the centre of the conflict. Michael, a werewolf/vampire hybrid, is engaged in a fistfight with Bill Nighy’s character, a vampire elder (Scott Speedman). It’s all excellent.
However, like any franchise that deals with extensive mythology and rich lore, Underworld also dabbles in flashbacks, prequels, and overall grandiosity that makes getting started a little intimidating. We nailed it. You may discover a list of how to watch every Underworld film in order of release, followed by instructions on how to watch them in chronological order, down below.

Underworld Movies in Chronological Order of Events
Underworld: Rise of the Lycans
In this prequel movie, which was directed by Patrick Tatopoulos and is set in the year 1402, Michael Sheen plays Lucian, the first werewolf to also adopt human form, earning the name “Lycan.” Lucian was the first werewolf to do so. The movie also provides a significant amount of background information on the events in the first Underworld movie.
Underworld: Endless War (Part I)
Three short anime films in the Endless War series, directed by Juno John Lee and produced by Underworld co-creator Len Wiseman, follow Selene through several Death Dealin’ eras. In the opening scene, Selene follows three Lycan brothers across Paris in the year 1890.
Underworld: Endless War (Part II)
Selene returns to Paris in 1967 in the second of Endless War’s two short films.
Underworld
The core plotline involving the betrayal of the vampire elders and the werewolf/vampire hybrid, Michael Corvin, was introduced in the first movie of the trilogy, which debuted in 2003, and introduced the world to Selene.
Underworld: Evolution
Although the first scene of Underworld: Evolution actually takes place in 1202—the series’ earliest scene—the majority of the sequel takes place very shortly after Underworld.
Underworld: Endless War (Part III)
In order to set up the events of the third short film in Endless War, Selene returns to Paris once more, this time in the year 2012.
Underworld: Awakening
Underworld: Awakening, directed by Mns Mrlind and Björn Stein, takes place after Underworld: Evolution by a number of years. Between the two movies, the human species has learned everything there is to know about vampires and Lycans.
Underworld: Blood Wars
A few years after Underworld: Awakening in the franchise’s final movie (for now!).
