Shailene Woodley will soon be seen in the biographical movie “Ferrari,” which is based on the life of Enzo Ferrari, the man who founded the Ferrari automobile company. The movie, which is an adaptation of Brock Yates’ book “Enzo Ferrari: The Man and the Machine,” takes place in the summer of 1957, during a time when Enzo’s personal and professional lives are in disarray. He makes the decision to take a chance on the Mille Miglia, a perilous 1,000-mile race across Italy, in an attempt to alter his destiny. Along with Gabriel Leone as Alfonso de Portago, Penélope Cruz as Laura Ferrari, Adam Driver as Enzo Ferrari, Sarah Gadon as Linda Christian, and Jack O’Connell as Peter Collins, Woodley plays Lina Lardi in the movie.
Ben Collins as Stirling Moss, Andrea Dolente as Gino Rancati, Giuseppe Bonifati as Giacomo Cuoghi, Erik Haugen as Edmund Nelson, Patrick Dempsey as Piero Taruffi, and Michele Savoia as Carlo Chiti are among the other cast members. Michael Mann’s film will be released in theaters on December 25, 2023, after making its world premiere on August 31, 2023, at the Venice International Film Festival. Killer Heat (TBA)
“Killer Heat” is a crime thriller that centers on twin brothers who become entangled in a violent love triangle on a secluded Greek island, and it is based on Jo Nesbø’s short tale “The Jealousy Man.” The case is under the purview of “The Jealousy Man,” a damaged detective. In addition to Joseph Gordon-Levitt as Nick Bali, Clare Holman as Audrey Vardakis, Babou Ceesay as George Mensah, and Woodley as Penelope Vardakis, the film also includes Richard Madden as Leonides and Elias Vardakis.
Billy Clements as Yannis Associate, Manos Gavras as Yiannis Dimitriou, and Argyris Gaganis round out the cast. Philippe Lacôte, an Ivorian director, is in charge of the project. The mystery movie is presently under post-production, and the exact release date is yet to be announced.
The Murderous Miss Highsmith (TBA)
For the crime thriller film “The Murderous Miss Highsmith,” Woodley assumes the role of writer Patricia Highsmith. The drama series “Three Women” centers on Sloane, Lina, and Maggie as they go off on life-changing adventures. After a dull marriage, Lina ends up having an affair. An openly married entrepreneur named Sloane encounters difficulties in her romantic life. After accusing her married teacher of having an inappropriate relationship, Maggie finds herself in a storm. Gia, a writer lamenting her family’s death, convinces them to tell their stories, which transforms their lives irrevocably.
“Three Women,” which features Shailene Woodley as Gia, DeWanda Wise as Sloane, Betty Gilpin as Lina, Gabrielle Creevy as Maggie, Blair Underwood as Richard, and John Patrick Amedori as Jack, is based on Lisa Taddeo’s 2019 book of the same name. The showrunner is Laura Eason. The show has already finished filming and was originally scheduled to debut on Showtime. But the network chose to cancel the program, and Starz took it up in February 2023. Starz’s release date has not yet been revealed.
