Regarding their family, John Krasinski and Emily Blunt are quite private. But that doesn’t mean John and Emily aren’t proud parents simply because the Golden Globe winner and Jack Ryan actor don’t flaunt their kids around Los Angeles or on social media.
Hazel and Violet are the daughters of the Hollywood couple. Because they want to give their kids the most typical upbringing possible, John and Emily, who got married in 2010, keep their family out of the public eye. The couple will occasionally exchange heartwarming updates about their children, though.
EMILY BLUNT AND JOHN KRASINSKI’S RELATIONSHIP TIMELINE
In January 2021, John made his hosting debut on Saturday Night Live and gave a touching shout-out to his young daughters. The Quiet Place actor finished the show wearing a black crew neck sweater with the words “H + V” inscribed in white letters. Ilaria Urbinati, John’s stylist, stated on Instagram that as a special nod, he “decided to have his daughters’ initials monogrammed on his shirt.”
While hosting the venerable comedy series, a former employee of The Office also addressed Hazel and Violet. John shared the humorous pre-show chat he had with his daughters in which he attempted to convey how thrilled he was to be a guest on Saturday Night Live. John was unfortunate since his girls didn’t fully get it.

From the time I was 8 years old, I have been a fan of this program. To my children, I was attempting to explain what I had been doing this week. I remarked, “You know how Paw Patrol is your favorite television program? He joked on stage, “My favorite program is SNL.”
Therefore, I feel like I’m on Paw Patrol, John said hilariously. “And they asked, ‘What?'” You’re a Paw Patrol member? I responded, “No, no, no, no.” “Call us when you’re on Paw Patrol,” they said.

Although John’s award-winning Hollywood profession may not yet dazzle his young daughters, the actor’s ability to juggle his career and fatherhood merits praise all on its own. Emily juggles motherhood and her Hollywood jobs, just like John, but that doesn’t mean it’s always simple.
The Devil Wears Prada alum told Hello! magazine in 2016, “I don’t want to claim that my job as a working mother is any harder than anyone else’s who has to go to work and has two children.” You simply “do it” and “take each day as it comes. Right now, my home is like a zoo! I believe that is likely the same for everyone. For us, it’s a daily play.

Hazel Krasinski
Hazel, the child of John and Emily, was born on February 16, 2014. Hazel’s birth was revealed on Twitter by the Some Good News actor, despite the fact that the couple has been notably quiet about their family since welcoming their first child.
“Wanted to announce the news immediately. At the moment, he wrote, “Emily and I are so immensely delighted to welcome our daughter Hazel into the world today. Happy birthday!
In May 2014, John did publish a rare image of Hazel on social media. He stated once more, “Pictures of kids should only come directly from parents,” to emphasize his desire to maintain his family’s privacy. He hasn’t posted any other images of his girls on social media since that time. Even worse, Emily has no social media presence.
John did admit on The Ellen DeGeneres Show in February 2020 that Hazel had already begun making jokes like her well-known parents. John made the decision to construct a photo wall to commemorate his and Emily’s ten-year wedding anniversary. Hazel provided her amusing opinion as he was setting up the frames with the temporary stock photographs in them.
Hazel said, “So amazing. She literally leaned on my shoulder. You should put images of us up, don’t you think?” he recalled. It was all of the fictitious families in the pictures! It was incredible. She seemed genuinely worried that I was going crazy.
John and Emily have frequently expressed their desire to keep their girls’ knowledge of their fame to themselves. Emily said she would be “thrilled” if her girls continued to be “oblivious” about the couple’s reputation in Hollywood in an interview with The Sunday Times in May 2021. Naturally, Hazel’s interest in her parent’s celebrity has grown with time.
You know, it’s a weird thing to navigate, Emily added. We were in the kitchen when [she] returned home the other day and said, “Are you famous?”
While speaking with Marie Claire in February 2021, Emily shared rare information on her young daughters, Hazel and Violet, despite keeping them out of the spotlight. The Sicario actress admitted she teaches her daughters empathy.
She told the site, “I teach my children empathy and to embrace differences without being afraid of them or making fun of others for them. Making mistakes or feeling as though you have a condition that makes you prone to doing so is beneficial. It’s how you grow and how you learn.
Violet Krasinski
The couple’s second child, Violet, was born in June 2016. Like Hazel, John used Twitter to sweetly announce Violet’s arrival.
At the time, he exclaimed, “What better way to celebrate the Fourth [of July] than to announce our fourth family member!!!” Violet was born between mid- and late-June, according to him. “We first met our lovely daughter Violet two weeks ago.”
Although the children of the couple are still young, John claimed that their youngest has already expressed an interest in music. During a February 2018 interview on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, the dashing man recalled the moment Violet began singing at a very low octave.
He recalled Violet saying, “Yeah, baby,” all of a sudden. Such depth! And I said, “Emily, has she ever heard this song before? And secondly, what was that? She replies, “I have no notion.
Emily was beaming with delight when she appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live in 2020 to discuss her girls’ British accents. They both went to school in person while the COVID-19 outbreak was going on in London.
My young child emailed me a video of her singing “Jingle Bells,” and she had a voice that was practically Cockney, Emily added. It resembled Dick Van Dyke singing “Jingle Bells” in certain ways. The most bizarre accent ever. It was very great, really.
Emily played Mary Poppins Returns’ lead in the year 2018. Emily is thrilled to be a part of the remake of such a classic Disney movie, but her youngest daughter still prefers the original 1964 version.
“I overheard Violet being asked, “Do you want to see a movie?” by John.” To Ellen DeGeneres in January 2020, Emily revealed. She responds, “Yeah, Mary Poppins,” Do you want to watch Julie Andrews or Mommy’s Mary Poppins, he asks. She then said, “No no! Calling out, “Julie Andrews!
Hazel and Violet both have enormous hearts despite being big jokers. They assisted in raising funds for those employed in the hotel sector at the height of the pandemic. With all sales going to Guy Fieri’s work with the Restaurant Employee Relief Fund, the sisters created t-shirts and tote bags.
