Whew! When Calls the Heart’s official comeback for season 10 was ultimately announced by Hallmark back in June, which temporarily relieved our concerns. In Hope Valley, there are still countless stories to be told, but Hallmark appears to be stepping away from many of their long-running scripted shows. (Check out Hallmark Movies & Mysteries for the cancellations of Picture Perfect Murders, Hailey Dean Mysteries, and Matchmaker Mysteries.) Additionally, we found out that this, Chesapeake Shores’ sixth season, would be the show’s final one. Thanks for ensuring #Hearties’ happiness for another season, Hallmark Channel!
Here is all we currently know about When Calls the Heart’s tenth season.
Has When Calls the Heart been renewed for season 10?
Yes! When Calls the Heart was formally renewed by Hallmark for season 10 on June 17, 2022.
When Calls the Heart executive producer and performer Erin Krakow remarked, “I am happy that When Calls the Heart is returning for a 10th season. We can anticipate more adventures, giggles, tears, and love stories in the Hope Valley community thanks to our incredible cast, crew, and authors. We can’t wait to take this adventure with all of our viewers, especially the Hearties!
According to Lisa Hamilton Daly, executive vice president of programming at Crown Media Family Networks, “When Calls the Heart continues to push the boundaries of what we can accomplish with this show.” We can’t wait for everyone at home to tune in to watch what happens since there are still a tonne of stories to be told about the lives of the adored characters in this series.
“I’m feeling extremely grateful,” Krakow continued. I’m overjoyed. When I think about a decade of When Calls the Heart, I’m just in awe. I’m also really proud and thrilled to get to spend more time in Hope Valley with all of these individuals I really care about. It’s rather remarkable, actually. I’m very joyful.
Regarding the renewal, executive producer Brian Bird stated the following:
#Hearties the news you’ve been waiting for!
Never in 2013, when we first brought this world to life, did I think we would be announcing S10 of #WhenCallstheHeart
! So grateful and excited for all 3 mill of you! In these uncertain times… happy days ahead!https://t.co/2EGtSWkXh4
What are the storylines for season 10 of When Calls the Heart?
The storylines for When Calls the Heart season 10 have not yet been officially announced, however we can anticipate the following story arcs: Lucas and Elizabeth’s relationship, played by Chris McNally, could still be going strong (Erin Krakow). We might learn more about Bill’s (Jack Wagner) sickness and its potential severity. There is, of course, the Coulter pregnancy and all the drama that Rosemary (Pascale Hutton) will bring with it, whether it be genuine or imagined. We’ll undoubtedly learn more about the oil company, foundry, and mines’ future soon. It’s possible that fresh relationships between Hope Valley’s single people may start to take shape.
Regarding Family Coulter, Kavan Smith and Pascale Hutton both just shared the following on their Instagram feeds:
After her husband’s terrible death, Elizabeth has continued to manage Toddler Jack (Hyland Goodrich) alone. She has had a book published, and although their relationship hasn’t always been easy, she is currently dating Lucas.
Kevin McGarry (Nathan Grant)
Nathan Grant, the Mountie of Hope Valley, is in charge of his niece Allie (Jaeda Lily Miller), a precocious adolescent ready to cause trouble. The extremely single Nathan is open to love while working as a Mountie in Hope Valley, but who will it be with?
Follow Kevin on Instagram and Twitter at @kevin mcgarry and @kevin mcgarry w, respectively.
Fun fact: Fiona on the show, Kayla Wallace, and McGarry recently got engaged.
Chris McNally (Lucas Bouchard)
The saloon owner has travelled the world, but he also appears to have some mysteries from his background. Although Lucas adores Elizabeth and Little Jack, his recent business endeavours have been very stressful for him.
McNally might be recognisable to you from A Winter Princess or Altered Carbon.
Chris may be followed on Twitter at @ChrisMcNally and Instagram at @chrismcnally.
Jack Wagner (Bill Avery)
Avery, a former police officer and forensic investigator, now serves as the town judge for Hope Valley. Avery didn’t seem to constantly follow the rules at first, but he has since changed his ways. At the conclusion of season 9, Bill had a crippling cough.
Wagner is a well-known actor who has appeared on shows including Melrose Place and General Hospital.
Follow Jack on Instagram and Twitter at @jackwagnerofficial and @jackwagnerhpk, respectively.
Amanda Wong (Mei Suo)
Mei Suo, as Amanda Wong, came into town in search of a way to get away from a man who wanted to own her like a priceless piece of furniture. She and Nathan were obviously attracted to each other, but Mei had to go back to Chicago to appear in court when her alleged spouse arrived in town.
On Twitter, follow Amanda at @amndawong.
Pascale Hutton and Kavan Smith (Rosemary and Lee Coulter)
Fans of the show initially disliked Rosemary LeVeaux because it seemed as though she could be trying to separate Elizabeth and Jack, but after she fell in love and married Lee Coulter, they came to like her humorously arrogant demeanour.
When Lee arrived in town on a motorcycle, he struck up a romantic relationship with Rosemary and finally got married to her. The wealthy businessman is running for mayor of the community, and his wife is the editor, publisher, and editor of the local newspaper that she restored.
For several seasons, The Coulters battled to start a family, but it appears that season 10 will bring about a shift!
The two performers have a fantastic chemistry and have played well off one another over the seasons of the show. They have been in other Hallmark Channel movies together.

Ben Rosenbaum (Mike Hickam)
The newest mayor of Hope Valley is Ben Rosenbaum (Mike Hickam), who is also looking to leave his position. He currently has feelings for Fiona (Kayla Wallace), but it’s not apparent if they are mutual or whether he intends to act on them. He kind of stumbled through the first few seasons, but he’s now shown that he’s a diligent worker and businessman.
Follow Ben on Instagram at @ben rosenbaum and Twitter at @b3nros3.
Hrothgar Matthews and Loretta Walsh (Ned and Florence Yost)
The couple wed in season 8 after being longtime friends. Florence was left a widow at the start of the programme, along with many other people, when the mine collapsed.
You may follow Loretta Walsh on Twitter and Instagram at @loretta walsh, but Matthews isn’t on social media.
Kayla Wallace (Fiona Miller)
Fiona Miller’s character Kayla Wallace arrived in town with the telephone company to assist in setting up communication channels in Hope Valley. After being abruptly let go, she made the decision to remain in the area and acquire the neighbourhood barbershop. She has ties to the oil industry as well.
@ImKaylaWallace is Kayla’s handle on Twitter and Instagram.
Andrea Brooks (Dr. Faith Carter)
Faith has taken over the infirmary and is now acting as the town’s physician while Dr. Shepherd is away in Boston. We’ll have to watch this season to find out if Faith and Carson’s relationship will endure their long-distance romance.
@AndreaKBrooks is Andrea’s handle on Twitter and Instagram.
Fun fact: Season 10 of the show was being filmed while Brooks was expecting her second child!
Vienna Leacock, Viv Leacock, Natasha Burnett, Elias Leacock (The Canfields, from left, Angela, Joseph, Minnie, Cooper)
The Canfield family moved to town in search of a new beginning, and they purchased an old Henry farm to establish themselves. Angela, their daughter, is a piano prodigy. She also lacks vision. The patriarch of the Canfield family, Joseph, is a handyman in addition to being interested in purchasing the local gas station. His wife, Minnie, is a cafe employee under Abigail.
In addition to being siblings on the programme, Angela and Cooper are also actual siblings and the offspring of Viv Leacock.
@vivleacock is Viv’s handle on Twitter and Instagram.
On Twitter, Natasha is @natashaburnett; on Instagram, she is @natasha.burnett.
Johannah Newmarch (Molly Sullivan)
One of the town’s widows, Molly, lost her husband in the season one mine collapse. She and Florence are close friends, and she enjoys spreading rumours.
Follow Johannah on Instagram and Twitter at @jonewmarch and @johannahnewmarch, respectively.
Hyland Goodrich (Jack Thornton, Jr.)
The twin actors Lincoln and Gunnar Taylor, who were originally cast to play Baby Jack, were replaced by Goodrich as Young Jack in season 9. Three seasons were devoted to the twins’ portrayal of Jack, Elizabeth’s son. Hyland is playing her debut role.
Jaeda Lily Miller, Kadence Roach, Jaiven Natt, Christian Michael Cooper, Ava Grace Cooper, and Gracyn Shinyei (The Kids of Hope Valley – Timmy Lawson, Opal Weise, Anna Hayfod, Allie Grant, Robert Wolfe, Emily Montgomery)
Over the years, we have seen the Hope Valley children develop. Several of the young performers have been a part of the programme from the very beginning. Several siblings appear on the show, including Christian and Ava Cooper, who portray unrelated roles on the show but are actually siblings like Vienna and Elias Leacock’s characters Angela and Cooper Canfield.
