The official trailer for the first episode of You season 4 has been released on Netflix. This season, the critically acclaimed psychological thriller will take a new direction as Joe Goldberg, the serial stalker, seems to be the intended victim of a murderer.
The fourth season of the programme was divided into two halves, each with five episodes. According to Netflix, the new season is “a new year, a new nation, and a new persona, but Joe can’t manage to shake off his past.” Read on to see the clip and learn more about the programme.
You Season 4 Part 1 Trailer: Joe Goldberg is Now a Professor in London
In the trailer, Joe Goldberg is reintroduced as Professor Johnathan Moore, a character who has settled in London and is working to get past his past in order to rebuild his life. There, he runs into some old and new friends, including Marienne from the previous season. He also joins London’s elite group of affluent people.
But soon, he finds himself tempted to stalking a brunette woman from his window once more as his old habits start to come back to haunt him. He is heard adding, “I do miss having someone out there.” However, the professor tries to hide his emotions by responding, “No. No. It doesn’t interest me. Nope. Lack of interest. I’d rather not know. Why does the universe continue to treat me like this?
The “eat the Rich Killer,” who is now on the loose in London, choose Joe as his next victim. Netflix will release You season 1 part 1 on February 9, 2023. The second instalment will debut on March 9, 2023, one month later. the trailer is below.
You is One of the Most-Watched Shows on Netflix
The series, which debuted in 2018, has amassed a sizable fan base over the years and has risen to the top of Netflix’s list of most-watched episodes in terms of hours. Season 3 will premiere in 2021 after the release of Season 2 in 2019.
Even before the third season of the show was made available on the streaming service, it was renewed for a fourth. “After his previous life blew up in flames, Joe Goldberg has fled to Europe to escape his “messy” past, acquire a new identity, and, of course, to pursue true love,” states the official summary of the upcoming season.
But as he learns he might not be the only murderer in London, Joe soon finds himself in the weird new position of reluctant detective. His future now hinges on finding and stopping the person who is pursuing his new friend group of extremely wealthy socialites, it continues.
The Upcoming Season will Feature Some New Faces
Tati Gabrielle and Penn Badgley will continue to play Marienne Bellamy and Joe Goldberg, respectively, in season 4. They will be accompanied by Eve Austin, Brad Alexander, Amy-Leigh Hickman, Tilly Keeper, Lukas Gage, Ozioma Whenu, Ed Speleers, Niccy Lin, Aidan Cheng, and Charlotte Ritchie.
Sera Gamble and Greg Berlanti are the show’s creators. Along with Gina Girolamo, Sarah Schechter, Leslie Morgenstein, and Michael Foley, the two are also executive producers. Writers include Amanda Johnson-Zetterström, Leo Richardson, Mairin Reed, Justin W. Lo, Kara Lee Corthron, and Neil Reynolds.
